Rope material - 03/27/06 10:55 PM

Hi everyone,

i've been thinking about the big ropes i see in many pics of sg cages. What material are they made of? i think most are made out of something like cotton? Or so it looks like from the pictures. What material can be considered safe? Im curious about another thing.. do gliders prefer multi-color, multi-pattern pouches and toys? Or do they please their owner/slave more ?

I've been avoiding ropes that can unravel since strings can be a danger, from what I've read recently. I don't know if the pretty pouches are for us to look at or them.

Here's a link of how to make glider safe rope out of fleece.

I'm all about these "no sew" projects

It wasn't me. I got the link when critterhill posted it. It's been great for me a soon-to-be glider mommy

That site is great I have made everything on it. I also use the horses leading ropes, they are cheap and wash well, I have 1 hanging down from the top of my cage and 1 zig zagging across the bottom by threading shoe laces through it to tie to the cage.
