Shout out to Phoenix AZ--temps? - 03/08/17 01:29 PM

Hey all!
Getting ready to make a move to the Phoenix AZ area.
Any petaurophiles (wild guess) down that way?

Going to finally get this thing out into the middle of the wasteland and see how my Camel-in-the-desert holds up to the heat. Probably somewhere near Surprise AZ.

So here's a related question....

What is the upper safe limit on temp for gliders. Say if the power went out in my house?
When do I start pulling out the ice packs?

Happy Glider-ing all!

Comfortable temperature range for sugar gliders are 70-90, with 80-85 being the preferred from what I can find.

I don't know about Surprise,AZ, I lived in AJ (Apache Junction) and worked in Gilbert when I lived in AZ. I'm pretty sure the temps would be similar, but I know elevations can make a difference, although Surprise is probably a valley as well.

I only lived there from February to November and the heat in the summer was at max in the hundred and teens, 112-115, possibly higher, though I cannot remember exactly.

I hope I have helped some.

I do miss living in AZ, if I could have worked things out there I would have stayed. Although my family is here in MD and it's nice to see them (most of the time, lol).
