Yeah, she can't have fruits and veggies just once a week! hamburger, eggs, and tuna are very fatty foods and is going to make her serverly sick if she isn't already! If you want to feed her right, and since you already feed her BML, feed different sorts of fruits AND veggies everyday, give her boiled CHICKEN, little bit of egg, mealworms, and crickets everyday.

Please do not feed hamburger to your glider. It contains too much fat and is not a healthy choice. I have to agree with everyone else, give her the BML nightly along with fruits and veggies and some mealies. On a good diet, she will gain weight. But not all gliders put on a lot of weight so keep that in mind as well.
I would also take her in for a vet wellness checkup just to be safe. Best of luck with her. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumb.gif" alt="" />

try crickets. That's what I am feeding my glider to get some weight back on him. He only eats the live ones but you could try the freeze dried ones also. put your glider in the bathtub with the crickets if you get live ones. that way they are confined and not loose in you house.

If she is 9 weeks oop, she is going to be little. Give the BML every day, like you have been, with the fruits and veggies, every day. You can suppliment with some insects every day or so. A wellness check at the vets office might be a good idea. He will weigh her while you are there, and then you will know if she is too litle or not. If she needs to gain weight, let the vet suggest how to do it first. Since you have her on a proven diet, the other stuff, chicken, hamburger, etc... is not necessary. For reference you give 1 tablespoon of the BML, 1 tablespoon of veggies, and 1 tablespoon of fruits every day. I still measure mine every single day. Good luck!

I've read that sometimes younger gliders won't eat the mealies because they don't know what they are. Pinch one in half and offer her the guts. That might change her mind.

younger gliders usually won't show interest in bugs until they are around 11-15 weeks oop.

I would give her BML mix every night, as well as veggies and fruits every night.

eggs are ok as a treat but as others have said please don't give hamburger. I'm sure they love it but it just isn't all that healthy for them. Tuna is ok every now and then as a treat (makybe once or twice a month) something about tuna I'm not positive on but I think it has to much iron or somthing in it.

Sil you wouldn't be thinking of Sugar Glider Manuel written in 2002 by Linda Kirkpatrick In it, it says:

"Vitamin E deficiency . This will happen if you feed your gliders Tuna Fish. Do not do this! There are other health risks connected to the feeding of Tuna Fish ."
