I don't even know what to think about this one. I am assuming she must have a scratch or something in her eye, and that caused the cloudiness.

I'm going to take her to the vet tomorrow morning; I know from experience that the emergency vet on duty doesn't know much about gliders, and they usually just tell me to come back in the morning when the real vet is in. Can/should I do anything for her until then? Pull her from her cagemates and put her in a temp cage?

She ate her treats just fine, not sure about "real food" just yet. Other than being a little hesitant about being out and about, she seems to be doing fine with it.

As long as she isn't messing with it or her buddies are not messing with it, I wouldn't stress her out by taking her away from her family.

Hope it isn't anything serious.

My Gary had an eye infection that caused his eye to look blue and then it turned a portion of it white. But his "obstruction" looked more opaque than your little one's. My vet stained the eye and tested the pressure and then ended up taking pictures to send to an optical specialist. It turned out that Gary had an eye infection that required steroid drops. It cleared up fine and his eye is back to normal. Good luck with your baby.

We saw the vet on Thursday. He gave me eye drops with something added, and an antibiotic ointment. Based on the stain test, he said it's not good, the lesion is down to the lowest layer of her eye, and it's possible it could rupture. He wants to try to save the eye if we can, so we're going to try the meds for a while. If it does rupture, or doesn't show any improvement, he'll remove her eye and stitch the lids shut. But hopefully we won't get to that point!

Thankfully Coriander is a complete dollbaby, and she's taken it all in stride. Though everything- the pain I'm sure she has to be feeling, the vet visit and exams, and the meds- she hasn't made so much as a peep. She'll sit still and let me do the meds, and is still eating great and playing. She even posed for photos of her eye- but she always has adored having her pictures taken!

I hope it doesn't get to the point that she needs to have that eye removed.

Sending prayers and good thoughts your way.
