I have two sugar gliders and have had them for a while and I've noticed that their cloaca sizes are different. They are from different parents and I got then at different times. My white face is stocky and seems to have a bigger cloaca and my petite one has a smaller one. I've always chalked it up to genetics but I want to be sure

Every gliders is different size wise. They very, like small medium and large.

The size of the cloaca would correspond with the size of their body, IMHO.

Could the cloaca size also have anything to do with how full of empty the bladder/bowels are?

I don't think so. If their bowels/bladder was that full that it affected the size of their cloaca, IMO that would indicate there is a potential blockage. I've never heard that to be the case, just speculating. Since gliders go where ever and whenever they want, I can't see that they would "hold it" to cause any outward appearance.

Hmmm.. Zoey is small (75grams) and has IMO a kind big cloaca. She "goes" just fine, maybe I don't quite know what to look for yet. :dizzy: Still so new to gliders.
