So I have my little guy, Mochi who is about 19 weeks OOP now, and am going to be getting another little boy from someone tomorrow afternoon.
I've done a lot of looking into the subject and have seen a variety of 'can/can't' as to the idea of introducing males together. Some people say it can be done if both are neutered, some say it can be done when they aren't- brothers are apparently good to go, and Joeys are easier to introduce.
Neither boy is neutered, as they are both too young to do so by my vet
's standards. Mochi, as I said is about 19 weeks OOP, and ...sortof...? Has his bald spot? He's grown the fur back on it. His personality is very laid back and calm, he likes to cuddle, and I know he's looking for someone out there to play with him- he just seems uninterested in 'playing' with me. (Apparently, I am good for scritches, sleeping on, sitting on and getting treats from, but playing is not a thing he thinks I can do.)
The new boy is a young joey- just ready to leave mum & dad. I'm planning to take all the steps to introduce them, Two cages, pouch swapping, introduction in neutral territory, but was wondering if anyone else has experience with introducing -younger- male gliders together?
Has it worked for you? Anyone have any good suggestions for me?
