Whew! We have been in a whirlwind of traveling for the last 2.5 weeks!

We traveled without the RV to start with . We ended up in Delaware Ohio working for a week. Dot and Fiona were thrilled! Then we found out we had to stay for another 9 weeks. So we traveled home and did a 36 hour turn around back to Columbus, Ohio with the 5th wheel. First night in the camper and the girls were beyond thrilled! They were crazy happy! That night Dot was out of her pouch hanging on the screen of her travel glidarium. As soon I as I un zipped it, out she came and raced circles around our bed, jumped to the closet, ran across all the hanging clothes and hopped to her cage. Then she just sat there waiting for Fiona and the sleeping pouch. Then she wanted to ride to the kitchen for mealies. Nose pointed... Fiona sat and looked out of her pouch waiting to be served in bed as usual...

We haven't been in the RV since August and according to the girls this is their home...

We are working overnight but the girls are patient for a treat when we get home... More news later... My break is over!

Wow...pretty hectic start 36 hours to load up and get the whole rig back! In time for work?

What do you guys do that keeps you moving so much. I know you told me once, but I forgot. :-(

Can relate to the RV. :-)

Love the RV lifestyle...and gliders seem to be awesome pets for it. Never going back to a house of sticks and stones.

Isn't it terribly cold up there right now?

Commerade, yes,we made it back in time for work in time. 700 miles in a pickup can be done in 11.5 hours. With the 5th wheel we take 2 days and don't rush. It takes 7 hours day one and 6.5 hours day 2. That way we can arrive in daylight. We are currently parked in In-law's driveway. Hubby is from Johnstown, OH.( Near Columbus)

We work in telecommunications and are currently working on a Walmart remodel in Delaware,OH overnight. We do cabling, phone lines, fiber optics and server upgrades in retail units mainly. The normal cable guys in this area got thrown out due to ignorance and we are considered one of the few "A-Teams" to go in and clean up and make amends for our company (Telaid Industries). We will be here for 8 more weeks. I am excited that we MAY get to go to OSGA in Elyria, OH this year. I am excited!

And yes it is chilly, but our RV is equipped to handle up to 10deg + for up to a week without day Temps above freezing. We have backup plans for heating too. However since we are in Mom and Dad's driveway,we can take cover in a nice warm house just 30' away this time. But we did spend a winter in Omaha, NE before we got gliders. Mom and Dad have a nice cozy guest bedroom, and I brought a pop up kennel for the girls with their treadmill just in case. We are expecting snow tonight. We like our own space and the hours we keep make it difficult to be guests.

Poor girls! They hadn't been in their travel kennel in a very long time. They were not happy campers to wake up for dinner only to be snatched out shoved into the bye bye cage with two grapes, and into the kennel in a dark damp place...

We had 2 tornado warnings near Columbus, OH. First of the season. No damage, just a few hooks on radar and clouds were turning. Nothing touched down... They got a bit jumpy... We were fine but sirens went off for 2 hours... National Weather service blew up my phone with warnings too... All is well...
