So my bears are very very picky. I finally found a few things that they'll eat. So I've been given them this for a couple nights and I want to know some opinions! smile I put celery chopped, carrots chopped, papaya chopped, peaches chopped, quarter of a scrambled egg and I made some chicken patties with bluberries, carrots, kale, celery and sweet peppers mixed in that they seem to like, so I do some egg and some chicken (only one eats the chicken, the other eats the egg lol)
Does this all sound good for them? Is there anything else I should add? Thanks!

Sugar gliders don't necessarily eat the whole fruit or vegetable. In the morning, you will find hulls that look like it hasn't been touched, or a mango that has been sucked out of juice. You may have heard the terms soluble and unsoluble fiber. Gliders only eat soluble fiber. Their digestive tract can't handle solid fiber like our digestion needs. They will spit it out while chewing their food.

Gliders require a fairly strict diet that has a calcium (2) to phosphorus (1) ratio, or 2:1 ratio.

In order to achieve this, several tests have been done by scientisits to find the ultimate nutritional food for our babies.

I started out mine on on the BML diet. It's ingredients can be found at the grocery store and pet store(vitamins). Its fairly easy to put together, you make up a batch and freeze it, That way you won't have to make fresh every day. I used icecube trays for mine. This diet is very strict on what the fruit and vegetable mix to use.

I currently have mine on Critterlove complete diet. It is more simple, you just add water. And make one of the 4 salad mixes, freeze .

If you click on the word diet in blue it will take you to a diet database on other choices. But the 2 I mentioned above are in the top 3 of the most healthy for your glider.

Critterlove.com also offers samples of their product, and a healthy kibble for daytime snack.

If you have more questions, please ask, that is what we are here for. And keep us posted.

Oh and we do love pics of babies!
