#16255 - 01/03/04 10:15 PM It pays to be *so* careful! =\

I had a real shock this morning. I had Zipper and Zoe out with me, playing in the bathroom. It's the only room that's safe for them. There's a linen closet in there, and I always shut the door so they can't climb inside of it.

I forgot this morning. Zoe was climbing around, and zoomed for the open door. I ran over there and called her, but I heard absolutely nothing. No moving. A little scared, I looked up higher, and noticed (to my extreme panic!) a hole in the sheetrock wall. Ah! She stuck her head out of it and looked at me, then disappeared into the wall.

I screamed for my brother to get me a couple treats, and grabbed her pouch, putting it under the whole. I waited a long time, and she FINALLY climbed out into her pouch. It didn't seem to bother her, though mama was shaken.

Remember, always *carefully* check areas you let your gliders play in! I learned my lesson.

i usually avoid this forum like the plague for the same reason I cant watch animal cops on AP! but i ignored my instincts this time & popped in here & youre absolutely right: sheetrock holes are a concern! i made the shelf along the top of my closet into a glider play area (cuz that's where they always seemed to gravitate when allowed to run free in the room, cuz it's elevated & dark I guess) while in the process of doing so I cleared the shelf off completely to clean it & inspect the area & all seemed fine. as I was getting down from workin up there, i happened to glance straight up & there was a gaping hole in the ceiling where sloppy cable installers had hacked a hole for their run! needlesss to say it was patched & the kids now love their play loft!
