#17288 - 02/04/04 09:38 AM Weep, weep well - A Poem for loss

Weep and Weep Well
Weep, and weep well, for our losses,
though not for their passing.
For they have gone to a place
where blind eyes can see,
deaf ears can hear,
and old, weak, and broken bodies
are young, healthy, and whole once more.
Flesh and bone
may wither and die,
but the Consciousness
and the Love survives.
They may be gone,
yet they're with us still.
In our hearts and thoughts,
and in our daily lives.
Comforting us.
Guiding us.
And patiently waiting for the day
when we come home to them once more,
with Our youth and health restored.
Weep, and weep well, for our losses
for it shows the love we shared,
and celebrates the life they lived,
and the love we will always have.
Celebrate their lives
by living ours to the fullest,
and telling their stories
with Love and a Smile.

Melissa...I have to agree....a very beautiful poem. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/heartpump.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/heartpump.gif" alt="" />
Kind of makes you think that a loss is not as bad as we think it is.

I liked it, and thought it relevant to this forum. I did not write it, the author is at the bottom. I am a big poetry buff, and have stacks and stacks of it. Once I remember where I found this one, I will let ya'll know....you know us old people, we forget in less than 5 minutes what we did 10 minutes ago! lol
