Let me share my knowledge with you. Recently I had my baby Spaz with me in my mom's truck on the way to Knoxville. He had just woke up. I assumed he would settle down and go back to sleep shortly. He was exploring on my leg when all of a sudden he dissappeared. It didn't take to long to figure out he had crawled up under the dash. Emotions flooded my brain. I had no idea what to do. We turned around and went home. We got a screw driver and did out best to try and find him. As i looked inside it the danger became more and more clear. Wires, lights, he could have easly got hungary and decided to chew on a few of the wires and he would have died. Not to mention we could have died. The wires could have caused an explosion. A great number of things could have happened. I had lost all hope. My mom on the other hand hadn't. She decided we'd go first thing in the morning to the dealership and have them take the dash apart. In the mean time it was below 20 outside, and i knew if we left him outside all night he'd freeze. So, my mother slept in the truck turning it on every half an hour or so to keep him warm. Yet we didn't want to burn him. You could hear him in there cleaning and carrying on like nothing was wrong. Well about 3 o'clock my mom came in. He had crawled out. I was so thankful. I guess what I'm trying to say is be careful. And cherish every moment. I thought this was the last with my baby. Although he hasn't seemed to tramatized.. he was a bit scared at first. Anyways. I just thought I'd try to alert you of the possible dangers.
Sherrie
Spaz []http://www.sugarglider.net/ubb/images/icons/blush.gif[/]

Yep, that same thing happened to me the day I brought Syd home. She was only 8 weeks oop and probably never been in a car before. I didn't take apart the dash but I could see her up there. She didn't come out and my parents and I had assumed that she either got out and ran away somehow or got lost up in there because as my dad says, it's like a honey comb. Anyways my dad made sort of a trap, not really a trap but a box with nuts and a blanket at the bottom right under the dash that she could drop down into but couldn't climb back out. That still didn't work and I assumed she died or got out because I couldn't see or hear her. About 6 hours had passed and it was now 2 am. I had my mom come out with me, well I poked my head up under the dash and my mom was like oh my gosh, is THAT IT? Sure enough she was sitting on the passanger seat. I grabbed her and ran inside. So that was my first Sugar glider experience lol.
Lauren []http://www.sugarglider.net/ubb/images/icons/smile.gif[/] and Syd []http://www.sugarglider.net/ubb/images/icons/blush.gif[/]
