This site has very nice cages and if you scroll down a bit and look at the measurments they're huge. They are galvanized powder coated, I think they're safe. Are they? You have to call for prices on the cages though. [:"blue"] [/]

It looks like the wire spacing is too large

The smallest that I saw they offer is 5/8" which is still larger than the 1/2" that is recommended. I don't know if 1/8" makes that much of a difference. Maybe someone else could help you there.

Might depend on how big your lil ones are and if you plan to have any joeys...

hmmm well do you think a 10 week old female can get through.

Well maybe I can get that one and keep Joey in it then keep pheobe in his old cage then move her into that one in 5 months or so?

You do not want your female in with a male until she is atleast 8 months old. Remember that males mature sexually sooner than females and you don't want your male to try to breed with her until she is ready. It could really hurt her.

I am aware. Thats why I said in 5 months or so from the time I get her, that way she will be at least 7 months i guess if shes not sexually mature by then another month wouldnt hurt anyone.

To be on the safe side I would say no. Remember even though a glider that is 5mos may be big enough there are alson some gliders that may be 9 mos that are smaller.

Unfortunately not all gliders are the same size...

A good rule of thumb: if you can fit your finger through anywhere in the cage, the spacing is too big.

I would suggest trying to find a cage at a store near you with the spacing you are interested in, then seeing if you can fit your finger through. Then you'll have a better visual of the one you're thinking of ordering.
