Is Cedar Bedding okay to put in the bottom of the cage where you would usualy put the news paper?

No it is not, as is any soft wood. A gliders respiratory system is very sensitive. When they urinate the mixture can give off a toxin that when inhaled can give them respiratory failure.

No absolutely NOT... cedar chips put chemicals into the air.. It causes sever respitory issues in not only sugar gliders but ALL other small animals, including hamsters and gerbils..no one should use cedar for anything other than gardening
edit to add:
You can use a fleece square of fabric cut to the size of your drop pan, OR you can use puppy wee wee pads, bird cage liners, There a many other things, but thats what i can think of off the top of my head

No I wouldn't use it for rabbits either.As a matter of fact I wish they would take it off the market for any pets.JMO

Little story
I was in a store the other day getting bedding for my critters and they were out.The guy said we have cedar you can use for your critters poor guy wrong remark.LOL I let him have it good on the no no's of cedar and pets.Next time he sees me comimng he will probably run the other way.(I was in a bad mood that day)

Well thank you very much for the info, I had no idea it was bad. I am so glad I asked before I just put it in there. I'd have been feelin' like a real you know what if I would have made her sick or something.
