#28303 - 10/29/04 02:35 PM Halloween: gliders trick or treating

I want to take my gliders out with me on Halloween, and I figured I could put them in the orange plastic pumpkin with a lid (or something similiar but halloweenish). Of course, i'd pack it full of blankies to keep them warm, but what do you think would easiest to carry them around in?

I just wouldn't do it. There will be all kinds of strange people and it will probably be cold. They should be waking up and getting ready for dinner, I'm not sure they will appreciate the change unless they are very well bonded to you

my gliders sleep like the dead, and they don't wake up until around 11pm... and i usually take them with me to classes, so it wouldn't be a problem. They be home before 11 anyways, because trick or treating is over at like what.... 9pm? so i'll be going out partying after that.

If it were not so cold here in NY I would think about it but no way will I take them outside for that long. I would be terrified they would freeze or get sick. I think they would enjoy it but the cold is my biggest concern.

Penelope, she would scare everyone with her crabbing, shes still not joyful with the bonding pouch.

Mine wouldn't care the least bit...they are even going to the mall and to see the Grudge with me this afternoon!! LOL...Mine are VERY bonded and wouldn't run away from me so all is good. I guess it depends on how comfortable you think THEY would be with the whole thing. Mine would come with me, but I'm not trick-or-treating...I'm just taking a little girl out.

Probably not a real good idea with the noises and the yummy candy smells, and it being nighttime.

BUT, you could always do like I did...
My little Mya would go trick or treating every year... but ONLY to my two neighbors houses. I would take her over (early) in her Halloween pouch and knock on the door... my two neighbors knew and were epecting her, so theyd always have a piece of fruit or something on hand.

Had to tell this...
One year, I took Mya to my neighbors... rang the bell and she answered with her usual "Oh its Mya!" enthusiam.
Well, Mya pops her head out of her pouch and my neighbor, ever so sweetly, hands her a baby carrot.
Mya grabbed the carrot, sniffed it and then dropped it on the ground and proceeded to stare at the woman like "You call THAT a treat lady?!?!" We both started laughing and my neighbor appologized for the 'treat'...
