#306787 - 06/05/07 09:14 PM The Jorn Act is Complete!

We officially did it!!!!! All of the major manufacturers are compliant with The Jorn Act!!!!!! I can't believe in 2 1/2 weeks we have accomplished soooo much! Thank you to everyone that sent e-mails and supported me through this. As Bourbon says, people can make a difference, but communities move mountains!

I got an e-mail from Gary Diner last night stating that they already put the info on their packaging that we are requesting. They only sell 10&40 pound containers to resellers. They don’t buy any of their products from China. They DO TEST FOR AFLATOXINS

I also got an e-mail from Stefan at Brisky’s thanking me for the kind words… he has been following our thread. He wanted to let everyone know that all of their grain products are American grown, nothing from China, and no wheat gluten is used in their products.

Laura -

I'm SO proud of you! Congratulations!

I just can't tell you how brave I think you are to have fought this fight for your babies's memories. Jorn will live forever in the glider community, and we are all better off for him, and for you!

Laura, You have no idea How proud I am of you, and of the community, for getting this done. Are you going to stop there? or are you going to try to get this passed federally for ALL pet foods?? you did make a major breakthrough for our babies. Thank you and thank you again

I am so NOT SURPRISED!!! I know how hard it is to get something past all the red tape that corporations, but when people are motivated by their hearts and loved ones, well, things can be set in motion for the better of everyone heart

Congratulations to you and this loving act that honors Jorn's memory. I know how badly you must miss him. hugs and healing for you as you go forward with this.... gangel

#307726 - 06/06/07 08:24 PM Re: The Jorn Act is Complete! [Re: ]

thank you everyone! I miss both my babies soo much. I miss jorn barking at me in the middle of the night. and trinity was just starting to trust me.... I'm doing better than i was, but its still so hard...

I will not stop with the glider foods. This is something that all of our pets deserve. I have a cat and a bird as well, and my parents have 3 dogs, it all hits close to home, and gives me motivation to keep on working towards my goal... It will be done, if i do nothing else, I will protect those that can't protect themselves... But I know I will need the help of the community when I start petitioning the government...

Amazing is a huge understatement!! Jorn is very proud of his mom. I pray I am never faced with this (aflotoxins). It is so terribly frightening! Thank you for helping to keep all gliders healthy!!
