I have 2 gliders. We have had one male for 16 months and we got the other male (6 months old) 2 weeks before Thanksgiving. Our oldest and first was neutered last week. The younger newer one will be neutered when he bonds better with us. How can I tell the difference between fighting and playing when I only hear them. Everytime I hear them and walk up to check they quit. I have been following the guideline that if I hear them 3 times in one night, I separate them until morning. I hate to contuinue this if they are just playing. Is there a way for sure to tell the difference without chancing that one of them will hurt the other?

Also, a lot of times, I only hear them when they are in the pouch together.

Have you seen any signs of one being hurt? Keep in mind, glider's will fuss at each other. When there are issues, the fighting is intense. Chances are, if they have been together several days, and are choosing to sleep together in the same pouch, they are just establishing dominance and fussin' a bit.

I haven't seen any injuries. It just sounds bad. I guess I will let them stay in the same cage for now. If I see one of them acting like they are hurt, I will separate them again. I am going to get the younger male neutered the first part of January. I just wanted him to have a chance to bond with us. He had problems with his former owner and I want him to be comforatable with us first.
