i bought a bunch of baby toys at the thrift store and i figured boiling the plastic ones would be ok. But they might melt. Would wiping them off with soap an water be ok? i just dont want the chemicals to mess with binky any advice?

I think most plastic baby toys could take a few minutes of boiling, or maybe the dishwasher, but I think boiling would be better, and less likely to mess up the toys. I think the toymakers know that some "overprotective" moms boil their babies' toys if they drop them on the floor, much less if they were purchased at a thrift store.

I would suggest wiping them down or soaking them in hot water with a bit of bleach in it. Make sure to rinse well, and then you're good to go

I wash mine in a 10% bleach solution. Rinse, then rinse again. Gee, my water bill goes up each time I visit the thrift store!
