a few weeks ago there was a discussion about "true blond gliders"

and no one provided a photo.

They say they are not a light grey...they are actually blond like a human is blond.

I have NEVER seen one....I don't know if it is truly a color...if so, I WANT ONE.

can someone show me a photo.

Jenn, You HAVE seen a *True Blonde* glider. Joharra is about the blondest of blonde gliders I have here...even more so than my Rafiki...She is the one that is in with Shorty. grin

This is Blanch from FFR, she is what they call a 'true blonde'

No, this is not right Lynsie. The tern "True Blonde" was made up by Steve Larkin. He was not aware when he called it that name that there was actually a color called White Faced Blonde so he came up with the name True Blonde. A true blonde is nothing more than a WFB. Blanch was not a WFB. Chloe Anita's glider is not a WFB. They both have bars under the ears. They are also not "True Blondes"
They are just Blonde gliders without the WF and they only produced buttercremes, not colors like themselves.

Oh, well when I was doing my lineages that is always what she was listed as. Actually on your pedigree for Mum you have her listed as a blonde. dunno When this thread started, I thought this is what they were looking for, a blonde, but not a WF.

Sheila, I don't believe that's what people are referring to when talking about true blondes. A lot of people are referring to White Faced Grays as WFB's and WFB's as WF Lions...

I have a very beautiful true blonde WFB male, Inari. I'll try to get a picture of him next to a WF Gray so people can see the difference.

would our Marla be considered a true blonde?
Her whole head is white and her body is considerably lighter than any of our other white faced gliders

I dont really call that a true blonde to be honest... because when stacie jolley had her true blondes they were like a lion ish color i had one for a while too... but i gave him to one of my good friends...

i will see if i can find pics... but When i had my true blonde glider that isnt what they looked like of Stacies gliders Simba and Nala

so is what I'm understanding is....as far as them being blond like a human was incorrect information......unless we are talking about a VERY light lion.

I guess it is all in the eye of the beholder than eh Kris...because I consider a lion too close to a buttercream...I would never think of that being a blonde... ohwell

The other discussion I remember reading and someone was referring to CCW page where it said they had true blondes. They were wanting to know what a true blonde was. I talked to Steve myself and he said he came up with that name himself. This was about 5 years ago! If you look on this ad page you will see where he says True Blondes
A True Blonde is nothing more than a WFB. Someone has taken the word "True Blonde" and blown it out of context. The original line was more buttery than more of what we see now. With the blonder colors Steve is referring to, there is more brown and less gray.

When I say less gray I am referring to the dark stripe being more brownish color.
