#50209 - 07/03/05 09:04 AM Our little Princess

Our little Princess left us yesterday during my husbands birhtday party. She was a special needs baby and we were hoping for a miricle and recovery. How she made it this long was in itself a miricle. Her mother was a rescue that came who was a self mutilator with a joey in the pouch. With wound care and TLC mom healed up and Princess was still in the pouch. Then the day came that she came out and Princess's story starts. Her mother left her, wouldn't care for her so she became our girl. I knew something was not right with her, just a feeling that I had. There was no signs she was ill, she would eat and drink great, and never had loose stools, but I just felt something was not right with her. Visits to the vet showed a heart problem that she was born with. The vet didn't hold out much hope but told me to do my best and love her all I could. We did and she lived 20 days and long enough to make many people love her.
She suffered a stoke 4 days ago and then she was unable to move her right side any longer but still she held on, still she would give me kisses and cuddle up to me in my hand and next to my heart. She had many human friends who were here when she passed away and not an eye was dry. The party ended when her life did, and my husband is taking her passing very hard. Our other joey Prince is now alone, they were cuddled up when she left this world, and I know he will miss her also.

My Little Princess, when you were born I was amazed that you had made it despite the odds against you. You had one eye open and you winked at me as if you said Iím yours.
You were born with a hole in your heart, but that was only so the love inside could quickly touch those who met you and enter their hearts. You made it through the stoke that stole you movement on your right side but that was just so we could love you for a little longer and you could give us just one more sweet kiss.
Then the last kiss came and your spirit flew to heaven, I wish I could have kept you here with me forever. Heaven must have needed a special Angel Princess more than us. . The lesson that you taught me is to never give up on love, give kisses when ever you can and that every day is a blessing.
Thank you Princess for being my baby, for loving me and letting me take care of you for the time that you were here. I miss your soft kisses that you gave to me, hopefully in time your dad and I will not cry any longer. I will see you someday when I leave this world and you can give me another soft sweet kiss.

Angie, I am so sorry at the passing of your little Princess. She was such a lovely little girl, and I enjoyed watching the video you and Jerald made, which clearly showed how much you two loved and cared for her. You made her life, though it was short, a very sweet one, and Princess was loved also by those of us far away. I am sorry that Prince will be alone now, but at least he was with her... she left this world knowing, truly, what love is.

My gliders and I send many hugs your way, for both you and Jerald.

Angie I am so sorry to see this post. I watched the video just the other day also, and the love was clear in each word you said. No matter how young or old they are, it is never easy. I daydream often about the time we will meet with them again at the bridge and how they will come running up to us with their little eyes all aglow. It helps me to think of them this way and I know it helps you too.

all for your thoughts and prayers! I am still getting a little teary eyed when I think of Princess, but am doing better. I higly suspect that Princess's parents are related too, so Romeo got the snip just in case.
Melissa (and Hope too), I just wanted to let you know that we are so sorry about Alli, I bet she is taking good care of Princess for me at the Bridge.
