Just an idea (hopefully a good one) to share...... see attachment.
The shelf is coated wire mesh ( so uneaten food falls though & is caught in my uneaten food pan). There is plexi-glass with 3 holes drilled into it ( The perfect size for disposable cups)

Love the disposable cup idea. Shame my gliders won't eat out of cups...spoiled boogers want things on plates!

I like the designs though. I like the built in shelf. It gives the gliders a place to sit while they eat. How does it mount to the cage?

I am wondering about the frame...It looks like stained wood... I would suggest just plain wood that has been coated with shallac or polyurithane (to seal it). I would be afraid of the toxicity of the stain. Just something to consider.

The finish is water based & NON-toxic. They have decent amount of other "safe" woods they DO nibble on, if they get the urge (ladders, branches, etc.).
