this morning i woke up to find that my 1 year old glider fizzy had gotten stuck inside a toilet paper roll sitting out, and tried to chew her way out, i cut her out seeing that a huge bunch of paper was lodged in her throat. i removed it and she instantly got water and fell asleep.a few hours later of constant watch and care she passed away this afternoon.she had swallowed so much it became too much for her.. i had no idea that this could be a danger because she always slept in tight spaces, i dont want this to happen to anyone else.please keep stuff like this away because anything could happen with these animals...seriously!...i am glad she isnt suffering and i will nevr forget her,she will be in my heart forever as my little fizzy muffin

I am so sorry about your little Fizzy Muffin. My heart is breaking for you. I would never have considered a toilet paper roll as a threat to a glider's health and would have thought it a safe place for a glider to play and sleep. Thank you for sharing this, it may save other glider lives. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

[:"brown"]I am so sorry to hear about Fizzy. I have never heard of a glider getting stuck in a paper roll in my years of being on the board.

May time heal your heart. [/]

I am so sorry about your little Fizzy. My guys love to chew up toilet paper rolls, it's one of the most popular toys on the board!! I have never heard of any problems with them either! I guess you never know when something will happen!
Glider hugs!

Oh - I'm so sorry. Bugsy also likes t-paper rolls. Now I know it can be a hazard. Fizzy's death was not in vain - we have all learned something from Fizzy. Again, I'm so very sorry

Thank you for being so brave and sharing this very hard story. My heart just aches for you, and I am just so sorry this happened. I never would have considered this a danger, but clearly it is. Thank you for your courage in sharing this with us in your grief. God bless you!

I'm sorry about your baby! Thank you for the warning and reminding us that we can never be too careful, even with the things we have grown comfortable with.

I'm so sorry for your loss and must admit, I have recently looked at a toilet paper roll and wondered if I should put it in my kids' cage to see if they would like to play with it. I'll definitely take your lesson to heart and NOT do it now

I am so very sorry for your loss

Wow this is strange. I just found an empty toilet paper roll and thought "hey, this could be a neat toy for Pen!" I'm glad I just threw it away though. :-/ Thanks so much for the warning.
