I recently made some baby BML, but god forbid, the container tipped and there goes my baby BML! Sooooooo...I have regular BML already made up, but it does not have eggshells in it. It does have wheat germ, though...is it alright to feed to the little one until I can get some more ingredients for the baby BML?? This is frustrating...grrrrr...lol

I had too do that for one night, mine still ate pretty good but I used a syringe that had a little bigger opening at the end, that way it didn't get all stuck at the end and flush out onto the joeys little nose, you may have trouble with the wheat germ getting the syringe plugged up, if that's what you are using and eye dropper may be better. Suz or someone else should be stepping in soon they'll know better, but mine did just fine for one day of feeding.

Actually...the baby is eating out of a dish just fine. I'm just worried about what might happen since there isn't supposed to be wheatgerm in it. Is it just for texture? Or is there something in the wheatgerm?

Mine too are eating out of a dish and they eat the reg bml with the wheat germ but without the egg shell and they seem to be fine, I do place either esbilac or wombaroo in the bml. In watching them chew, I see the discarded wheat germ chuncks cast out of their little chompers. I just don't think a very young joey can digest the wheat germ, but not sure. How old are yours?

I'm not exactly sure how old this new one is (he was rejected by his parents and was given to me to care for and keep), but I'm pretty sure he is older than 2-3 weeks. He is an active little guy. I have been feeding him esbilac along with some different types of baby food, plus the baby BML the one night. I'll just be careful when I give it to him and watch him eat it before going to bed. I'll make up some baby BML this weekend though.

I'm pretty sure you should be giving him a little baby bml every night, along with other things, but that is an assumption....how does he get his vitamins if you don't? Just wondering. I personally do, maybe someone else will come along to help.

I did give him the regular last night and he had baby BML the other night, but the container got knocked over and there goes the baby BML. That's why I was asking if it were okay to give him the regular BML until I could get some more baby BML made up. I have also been giving him esbilac and baby food. He has actually gotten bigger!

The container that was knocked over was glass and it cracked and chipped, although it did not shatter. I just didn't want to risk having a bit of glass in his food. He's been doing great, though!

you are too smart girl. I'd have trashed it too. Make sure he gets BML/baby BML everynight and the fruit and veggies in small amounts till you know he is eatting enough of the BML. If you need anything let us know.
