Hi I am trying to get my house ready for my two babies and after looking into cage sizes I was going to get this one (30" x 18" x 55"H and 1/2" bar spacing) but I have read a post that sayes it should be 4'x4'x4'. The cubic feet of the one I picked is larger but only because it is taller. What should I do? Thanks for your help.

That was my post!! Your cage is measured in inches mine is measured in feet. Yours would translate from 30"x18"x55" to 2.5ft x 1.5ft x 4ft 7in. Your floor space is only 3.75 sqft. For 2 gliders you need 16 sqft. I'm looking into building one that meets the standard of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. I would like to abide by the law, although I don't think they will be doing random checks. I know this is a very large cage, and you would have to take the time to build it yourself. The reason they have set the standard so large, is to allow for plenty of "gliding room" for our suggies. I'm not trying to tell you to go against the law, but if you can't build one big enough, you could get a 260 reptarium.

Just a suggestion: If you HAVE to have that size of cage you could always het the 3 cage deal from ebay and put two of them together anf that would make it bigger, or put all three together and make one HUGE cage.

How would you put them together? Are you talking about the reps?

The cage I have is 30x18x55 for 2 gliders and that seems to be of adequate size. I think if you go look at the photo gallery or read different posts you will find that is the size of cage that many of us use. If you have the money and space for a larger cage that is great, but unfortunately many of us do not have much of either. I would not choose a cage smaller than that but I think that size should be fine for 2 gliders.
