I was wondering if anyone got the password or whatever you need to access the Family Circle page. I'd like to read what's on it. OR if you could copy and paste everything into a PM for me, that'd be great too. I heard that it's sad stuff and I just want to see how they're screwing up again.
I wish they had a guestbook. tant

Cora... Peeps that buy from Pocket Pets get a password so they can access the information page that is strictly for the poor people they dupe.

the only ones that get that are usually those who buy gliders from them, or, @ least that is what they did a yr ago last august, when they were in des moines @ fair time.
some people up the street bought 1 glider. she let me use her email&password to get in, as i had just gotten 2 from another person over in cedar rapids.
there was alot of good info in there, many pages of stuff.showed you how to make a diningroom for them, when you first get them up, you have them in your palms, & before you take them out, you do a little treadmill walk w/them, so they will go to the bathroom, it does work pretty well. they still go on us,though!!! maybe i just never give them enough time, but no, i think they would rather go on us, than in the cage!!!!
i have sheets of pages of info that i printed out from them. all referring to bonding, health, & diet.
i no longer have the email password, i guess someone told her that i didn't care for (PPP) Perfect Pocket Pets, after learning things from here, & that she just has the 1 glider, still in the same cage(@that time, in may), i felt that she was being very selfish, that her little opie should have a playmate, & she didn't like hearing that, so, we don't converse anymore. which is fine, because i never did speak w/her much befor that, anyway.
i would probably bet, that (PPP) Perfect Pocket Pets stole all the info from the REAL glider families, to make makeshift types of report forms for their customers.

I have it-or should I say HAD it. I went to log on to make sure it still works, and it doesn't. Hmm.
I emailed them just for you Marissa to see if I can regain access lol. Beware though that if I'm able to get you on there the videos will break your heart.

Well....

They have a video on how to get your glider out of its cage if it is already awake. The way they do this is to take your flat hand and smush them against the inside of the cage, then stick your thumb beneath their head and your forefinger over top of their head. Then you peel them off of the cage. The glider is like hanging on for dear life and crabbing its head off. (PPP) Perfect Pocket Pets says to do this so that your glider cant bite you and has no room to move up or down to get away.

Then there's the video where they show you how to stimulate your joey to go to the bathroom because it's too young and can't do it by itself.

Then there's the biting video, which I think is probably the worst one...

They say that if your glider bites that you should cover your thumb with some nasty tasting stuff, then shove it (with the thumbnail down so it doesnt hurt you) as far as you can into your gliders mouth, then bend your thumb so that it stretches the gliders jaw out (you'll probably understand better once you see it, that's not a very good description). So you force your nasty tasting finger down your gliders throat to stretch out its jaw every time it bites you-and you are supposed to hold that position for AT LEAST FIVE MINUTES. And the video demonstrates this.

I'd like to say I'm making this up, but I'm not. They don't make their family circle open to the public for a reason. I'm probably violating their "terms of use" just by telling you this, oh well.

Clearly they've found a way to get around any legal matters as far as their abuse goes, or they'd have been shut down by now.

That's bull-oney.
Maybe the SPCA or the animal cruelty services don't want to deal with it because there are so many?

If you watch any of the vids on YT, you'll see that the gliders' eyes are closed most of the time.... These people are sick, and probably mentally unstable.... I don't see how a sane person could do anything like that.

Yes, access to the "family circle" is where most of the more awful stuff lies. They have ALOT of bad stuff in there. Its reserved for those who've bought gliders from them.

Their neutering article will make you cry. People must get together to stop the likes of these mill breeders. frown

The ones that have been described aren't up on YT. They'd probably get flagged and reported for animal abuse if they were.... The only ones on YT are of how to stimulate them to go to the bathroom and how to set up stuff....

i didn't see those videos, that is horrible. i just saw the one on making their dinning room, & the one to have them go potty. all the stuff i read as far as bonding sounded good, i thought. but, then again, back then i was new to all of this, & i learned a lot more on these forums. i didn't get full access to all of the 'family' stuff, either. just what the woman up the street showed me.
