#756568 - 03/28/09 02:38 PM Weight gain diet for hand feds! IT WORKS!

This is the diet I have always used for my little ones and ones that I have had to bring back from the brink! It has yet to fail me! So I leave it up to you of whether or not you want to use it but here it is:

heartMix your esbilac as you always would as the instructions tell you to. Then mix that with BML mix WITHOUT WHEAT GERM! NO WHEAT GERM NO WHEAT GERM! I can't stress that enough! It doesn't matter how much or little BML it just gives that sweet taste that gliders LOVE LOVE LOVE as well as added nutrition that they need! I have yet to lose a "hand fed" by this diet yet! Maybe I'm lucky maybe not, either way it's worked for me! heart

There may be those who diasagree with this diet heavily and if so please tell me what you think either way! I would be interested in knowing what you think the ups and downs are! ohwell

I have gone over it with a couple of the master gliders and have heard rave reviews from them, and that they think it's a great diet. wink

Tell me what you think? dunno

I want to see what others think also! My 15day oop baby joey has been 10grams for a week now even though he is eating .6-.8cc's every 1-2hours! He needs to gain weight! I want to know what everyone thinks about this diet!!!!! It sounds good. I have also been told to try ensure. To alternate one feeding formula and the next ensure.
Someone also mentioned maybe adding honey into his formula for extra calories.
I don't know which to do. So I'm really interested in hearing what everyone thinks!

That's OK I just thought I'd mention it because some people don't know about BML or what's in it! No bigs!

Mackenzie,

With your mixture, how much esbilac do you use & with what amount of ensure?

I don't use ensure with this, I'd fear it would be too much of everything for their little bodies. Too much calcium, protein etc.
