I set no time for it to close, so we can stop it whenever

Maybe more people will participate in the poll if there's a banner across the top of GC <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumb.gif" alt="" />

I need a write in vote…lol… I just got a second cage… my first / favorite is the Hex cage from suncoast… that is my primary cage… I got a second one today that is the same as Suncoast’s ‘sturdy cage’ … it is 36in tall x 32in wide x 21in deep… and that seems to me to be the minimum I would use….

I am looking at this as a volume issue… over all… so I have some notes to add…

16x16x25 = 6400
18x18x30 = 9720
20x20x38 = 15200
24x24x48 = 27648
18x18x23 = 7452
19x26x36 = 17784
16x22x34 = 11968
17x17x20 = 5780
18x18x29 = 9396
24x24x24 = 13824

And my new one is 32x21x36 = 24192

SO now <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/nixweiss.gif" alt="" />I still don’t know what I am going to vote…..

We got to be practical hear remember that, yes I have one cage that is 36x36x30 and a 36 inch octogon x 5 feet tall but that is not gona be a demension the usda would approve. Remember this is to get gliders out of those 12x12x12 and smaller cages and into something a little bigger

I debated between what I voted for and the 18*18*30 just seems a bit too small.. we use that for travel cages though.. well 18*18*33, but our regular cages are 30*30*60!

I think that a MINIMUM should be

70 total inches

here is what I mean by this,

you can have any of these minimum cages

12 x 24 x 34
18 x 18 x 34
22 x 24 x 24
15 x 15 x 40

I believe that this requirement will be easier to use than a set cage size.

I would state the rule like this.

Cage Requirements:

Cage dimensions must equal a MINIMUM of 70" when the length, width, and height are added.

Length may not be smaller than 10"
(60" must be accounted for in the width and height)

Width may not be smaller than 8"
(62" must be accounted for in the length and height"

height may not be smaller than 24"
(46" must be accounted for in the length and width)

How did I miss this?

Cage size is sooooo very important. 30 x 18 x 36 is my smallest cage. I think the 19 x 26 x 36 is about as small as I would suggest from the ones given.

I love this poll! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yelclap.gif" alt="" />
