do people do this? keeping in mind this would be to bring down start up costs, not necessarily the long term ones. wash an old fleece sweater, cut it up, and re-use the material? just wondering, i don't think i've seen anyone mention it. having to go out to buy fleece can get pricey when i can just give new life to my out of style winter-wear

I have....well I have gotten them from thrift stores. Esp. PJ pants! They are already the shape of the pouch! I have also made a couple of fleece hats into pouches! Just cutting costs since I spend so much on my fur children!

as long as the fleece is in good shape and you make sure to keep the seams hidden go for it!

That's how I made my very first pouches for my very first sugar gliders. It is a great idea to keep them warm by using something that kept YOU warm too!
