I would say no. Alot of cat scratchers have catnip oils on them to attract the cat, and catnip oil is just as bad as catnip. You could write the company or call them to ask. Or you could try making one? Good Luck

Edit: i completly misread you post LOL (pain killers are at fault) Do you remember the persons name, where you saw the pic. You could ask THEM if they know.... sry i couldnt help more.... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

The risk of catnip is what would prevent me from using them. Some of those cat posts are treated with catnip oils to make them more attactive to the cats but is just as deadly to gliders as actual catnip.

I have considered making my own though because they do look like they would be fun for the gliders.

I could have missed the pain

Would their nails be able to get caught in the fabric? I would be worried about that and the cat nip as well. It might be desinged different from all the cat scratching posts I have seen.

I actually have one of the kind made with carpet and rope over plywood (or particleboard, whatever it is). It didn't say there was catnip, but to be sure, I tore it apart and washed it 4 or 5 times in boiling water and soap, then let it airdry, and put it back together. My guys have a lot of fun with it, and it is a tenttime only toy. I do need to make sure their nails aren't too long, or they can get hung up on the rope, tho.

Added a pic of Lyah climbing on ours.
