<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crying.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/upset.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crying.gif" alt="" />My husband called me earlier this evening and asked me to post this for him. He was crying. Although I do not know all of the details, since we have been apart for the last several weeks due to my surgery, I will post what I do know.
Sunday evening (July 27th) my husband, Corbin, brought home a beautiful little girl glider we named Troi. She was only 6 weeks old. She only crabbed at him the first night. After that, unless she was sleeping, she was on his shoulder. She never seriously attempted to bite. Bright eyed and inquisitive, she would attack a feather from halfway across the room. Wednesday evening, when she got up, she was shaking violently, moderately dehydrated, and having diarrhea. My husband took her to the vet, and was given calcium gluconate, glucose water, and a low dose of valium to ease the shaking. He administered meds as needed, pedialyte/water hourly, food, etc. and kept her warm next to him. Thursday night, while the shaking had lessened somewhat, she had a seizure. He thought he had lost her, but she came back and kept fighting. He continued her regimen throughout today, and she was not apparently worsening. Sometime around 7pm Mountain time, he went to fix her dinner, and she was sleeping in her pouch. When he was done, and went to get her out, she was very still, and barely breathing. She died in his hands only a few minutes later, at 7:28 pm MDT.
We will always miss her and have an empty place that she physically occupied for so short a time, and will now occupy forever. She was a beautiful, special, sweet, and loving little glider baby, and our hearts are breaking. Corbin fell in love with her the minute he saw her, and called her his baby girl. Corbin-she will be waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge.

We miss you Troi! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/heartpump.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/heartpump.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/gliderangel.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/heartpump.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/heartpump.gif" alt="" />

Oh my - I truly am so, so sorry! The poor little girl had a break and never had the time to know it - geez, I just am heartbroken as I know you and Corbin are too <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/heartpump.gif" alt="" /> Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you and with the wee Troi - may she rest in peace and be ever so happy at the Bridge! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/gliderangel.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/upset.gif" alt="" />

OH NO!!.. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> Iam so sorry to here that!!...
I didn't expect it to end that way..Troi is in an excellent place now, where she has freedom and is no longer sick, Remember she'll always love you, and she'll be watching over you...

"I just wanted to let you know that I made it home. The journey wasn't an easy one, but it didn't take too long.
Everything is so pretty here, so white, so fresh and new I wish that you could close your eyes and that you could see it too. Please try not to be sad for me. Try to understand God is taking care of me...I'm in the shelter of His hands.
Here there is no sadness, no sorrow, and no pain. Here there is no crying and I'll never hurt again. Here it is so peaceful when all the angels sing. I really have to go for now... I'll see you at the rainbows end. "

Im sorry for your loss!

The photo of the wee one is soooo adorable. Unbeleivable she was only with hubby for a few days. She looks so bright eyed and bushy tailed.

Sending Hugs and Prayers to help heal your broken hearts. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frostyangel.gif" alt="" />

I, too, have been following Troi's progress through your posts. I was hoping and praying not to see this one. Please accept my deepest sympathies.

I am so sorry for your loss and Corbin's loss. Troi was obviously sweet and loved. I know this must be so painful. My thoughts and prayers go out to you.
