I know that nuts should be used in moderation and only as treats, but I am wondering - what is a treat serving size?

For a glider I would guess 1-2 nuts. Maybe a few more sunflower seeds since they're tiny, but for the larger nuts 1-2 would be plenty.

Also, if you're talking about peanuts, I'll give you a clue; it starts with the letter "A" and ends in "FLATOXIN".

Well, it seems that I have been a bit stingy with the nuts! I've been breaking off little pieces of walnuts and cutting up almonds into tiny bits for treats. I am certain that my gliders thank you for the advise!

Actually, it's probably better to keep doing the tiny pieces. Better to underfeed than overfeed nuts. I would think even just 1-2 nuts if you're talking about almonds, pecans and walnuts is quite a bit. Don't feed them that much every day. Maybe once or twice a week.

I agree PeeperKeeper, nuts should only be given rarely and the larger the nut the less you give of them. When I give nuts (which is only a few times a year) they normally get 1 cashew each, maybe another 1/2 if they scarf it down & start stalking their cage mates to steal more. So that's what I was thinking of when I posted earlier. Sorry if I confused anyone.
