Smoke has developed a habit of sticking his hand out of the cage and swiping at me and my bf. Is this aggression? does this mean I should back off? or is he just trying to tell who we are and get to know us? the couple times he did it i just let him and he simply grabbed, then let go. My boyfriend kept flinching away. He nibbled a bit at my boyfriend's fingers. I didnt see it, but my boyfriend called it a "bite" but he said he pulled away before he could get "bit" however my bf was just touching some of their treats so i wonder if they were trying to get more food? I dont know. I am worried we are moving too fast with them. We havent tried to handle them, we are simply sitting next to the cage and tonight we added a couple toys. They LOVED the toys (though i worry that their nails are long since they looked like they were getting stuck every now and then?) I dont know i am just worried that we are moving too fast and they are agressing. But they arent crabbing at us so it doesnt seem agressive.

How long have you had them?

Have you ever fed treats thru the cage bars? If you have, then they're probably just trying to get more treats. Typically we recommend no to offer treats thru the bars. Instead, open the cage door and place the treat in your open hand or between two fingers and let them come to you to get it.
