We are new parents, and our bonding is going great with our Fiona! She is 14 weeks, and she started barking at night a couple weeks ago after we went to bed, so we left the TV on low volume at night, it seems to work. Now during the day, she will be in her pouch and once in awhile we will hear her bark. The first time she did it, I was in the other room, and it quit of course, and when I peeked in her pouch, she was curled up in a ball. Today I was sitting by her cage and I heard her again, real light barks, and her pouch would move slightly. So this time I checked on her, and I startled her, she crabbed at me, curled back up into a ball, and went back to sleep... Do they have suggie dreams like dogs do? I think I forgot to mention she is solo for now...

She's still not on a schedule so to speak. Except for an hour or two in the morning when she wants her cage time with us while we wake up.

I believe they dream also. Sometimes I hear soft barks coming from the pouch during the day with mine also.
Barking is also a way that they call for other gliders. Since she's solo it may be her trying to get the attention of other gliders.
Are you considering getting her a cage mate?

Yes. We have decided to get her another female mate. Fiona seems to get depressed at times, but will snap out of it after some lap time. (We roll up the bottom of our tshirt and let her sleep there while watching TV at night.) She doesn't like the bonding pouch since we took her to the vet in it. Plus she gets tent time, cuddle time, and we are trying free range time just outside her cage. She only explores for about 5 minutes, then hops back in her cage. Tent time is 3-6 times a week, and other "Times" are when she is in the mood...

It's good to know! Thanks for the responses! I hate to disturb her when she's sleeping. I have heard and understand 3 of her 4 different crabbing noises, and now I won't bother her when she barks in her pouch when I'm pretty sure she's asleep.
