I'm trying to come up with ideas for a temporary cage for our future suggie. I have a dog crate similar to this one:

http://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/...ding-dog-crates

Would there be a way to put something around it to make it glider-escape-proof?

My thought is to put it on it's end so that it's taller, rather than wide.

Any ideas? Thanks!

For the same cost for the crate, plastic mesh and a ton of zip ties you can get a glider safe cage.

A little small for long term use but a good travel or quarantine cage -

If you try to modify the dog crate - you need to put plastic mesh over all surfaces on the INSIDE of the wire. If the mesh is put on the outside the gliders might get trapped between the wire and the mesh if they slip between the wires. It would also need to be zip tied securely to prevent the mesh from being pushed away from the wire which might creat a gap the gliders can get through.

Thanks Candy. I actually already have the dog crate, that's why I was thinking of going this route. Won't they chew through plastic mesh?

Houdi's cage is like the Bribane, so if I bought another cage I think I'd be tempted to go a bit bigger and upgrade. cool

Critterlove also has cages that would be suitable for your use.
