I figured I would consolidate all Fevy pics into one thread in future as I have a pet picture posting problem. But this is now my current favorite Fevy pic: He LOVES his chin/belly rubbed, I stopped petting him and tried to put him back in his pouch since I was leaving, and he grabbed all my thumbs (and his tail in case it escaped) and gave me this accusing stare. He really enjoys belly rubs and likes to lay flat on his back, holding his tail for safe keeping. It's odd and adorable. He snaps his head up if you stop petting him.

How fortunate for you to have him enjoy this, reminds me of my doggie, lol. My glider babies will barely let me pet them, only a tiny bit if any at all.

Haha, I call him my "puppy" actually. One time I entered him in a radio contest for cutest dog. Unfortunately, he did not win. Fevy is a very unique little fella and I am lucky he chose me for his owner. <3

My kitten, Hari, celebrated her third birthday on Monday. My friend made her a lovely pink strawberry cake. Got some huckleberry yogurt earlier in the day... Note: Fevy's eyebrow was a bit weird that day because for some reason he always gets food stuck to his eyebrows/nose area and sometimes doesn't clean it until he wakes up at night. By then it hardens so he ends up plucking his eyebrow a bit... it has since grown back but he had a clump of yogurt stuck to it for awhile. :\ Not sure... do other peoples' suggies do this or is Fev just a messy eater? Note 2: I took a couple pics of them with their heads crossed, but from certain angles it looked like Fevy's head was getting eaten. He is not being eaten. I should point out that this cat is VERY tame and bonded to Fevy since she was a baby. Definitely don't try this at home since I have lived with roommate cat/dogs that I would never allow near Fevy. I always supervise their snack time. For reasons unknown to me, Fevy recently started hiding in the cat's neck fluff. She is uber cautious when she eats and it's kinda funny to watch... she backs away if Fevy gets in her "food space."

That title just sounds like it needs to be an awesome frog and toad style sugar glider themed children's book. Totally off subject but still lol.

Haha! I have secretly wanted to write a children's book about Fevy's misadventures for awhile now. Takaia drew this adorable picture of Fevy and Hari back when Hari had a punk rocker tail: Seems children's book worthy.

Takaia drew this adorable picture of Fevy and Hari back when Hari had a punk rocker tail: Seems children's book worthy. I have also, I've actually started rough story notes a few years ago, before I got Ollie "The Enchanted Woods of Lulu and Skadoosh" I had an introductory short story written and then started what would be a second chapter or 2nd short story in a series of short stories (hadn't figured it out quite). Anyway, then I got Ollie, so I began incorporating him into the second story line "The Rainbow Adventure" but never finished it, nor decided how I should add him in the intro. I haven't worked on it for over a year. I was making story lines based on cage themes I was using. lol. I was using their personalities in the stories and was planning on writing "The Secret Garden" and "Pirate's Cove" from the cage themes I had going. I hope to one day complete it. I was hoping to finish it and have it published, some of the children from my work a few years ago actually met the girls, I thought they'd be tickled to see them in a published book.

Ohmygosh that sounds adorable! I would so read that. There aren't enough sugar glider themed things in the world, especially not stories. I love the idea of using their cage themes as adventures. I sometimes think a story from the perspective of Fevy and his daily misadventures would be hilarious. And of course his (giant) little sister, Hari.

I sometimes think a story from the perspective of Fevy and his daily misadventures would be hilarious. And of course his (giant) little sister, Hari. Thanks. I'm sure any adventures of a sugar glider, whether stories based on actual accounts of their activity (they are entertaining, lol), or more fantasized tales would be good reads. I really couldn't establish an age base for children, so was thinking going more "family-style", but hadn't finalized whether it would be narrated or in which person. One of the biggest things I get stuck on and why I stopped writing for so long, lol.

I wanted to write a book too! You guys! I'm glad I'm not alone! Yes a book or two would be great! I have a grandson who is mildly autistic and want to base it on how he reads. Easier said than done. He's 8 years old and hates to read.i was thinking about incorporating him into the book and helping him with emotions, yet making it an easy read for anyone. Still stuck on this...

So many plans for stories, I'm glad I'm not the only one stuck, lol. Sorry Dawn, not trying to be snarky, just good to know others get stuck and not just me, lol.
Anyway, enjoying the Fevy pics and stories, keep'em coming.

You should check out the books Grey Angels its sequel: Gray Angels I have both and have read them several times. I am thinking of using her style of righting for those books in doing a book about Tucker and his shenanigans.

I love The Exciting Adventures of Lord Feverstone. It's hard work writing and publishing a children's book. You need to get your story written and find an illustrator (unless you are doing both) that can capture the story in the pictures. You can self publish but it's hard work. If you want to you can contact some of the publishers such as Simon and Schuster. As a matter of fact you should be able to go to their website and they have information on how to get your book published. I use to work for a children's bookstore. Sadly it closed as the tablets started becoming more popular. Children love stories about animals. Your illustrator is going to need to be really good and capture the story so that little ones can connect. Another really popular way to illustrate is to use actual photos. You have some good ones. I hope you seriously consider writing the book. Good Luck! Roo Sir Nigel Thornberry

Aww thanks guys! He is a special little one alright. It decided to downpour as I was leaving work today (I usually take Fevy on Fridays), so I zipped Fev into my coat. My coat grumbled the entire walk to the car. XD Thanks for the advice, Lsinc! Working at a children's book publisher sounds like a dream job. I'm actually an aspiring writer, but I write mostly YA fantasy and that kind of stuff. Never tried children's books, but I also work at a print shop and someone brought a children's book in that had like maps and 3D stickers and things that gave me some ideas. :3 I'd love to write one about my fluffies! Glad you think it's a good idea. I really should get down to compiling their adventures. It's a shame tablets are taking over nowadays... I at least still enjoy paper books.
