I am in need of a new cage for my trio. Their cage now is over six years old and is beginning to have rust stains, with all of the cleaning. My current cage is similar to the HQ cage and has very small doors which make large toys or fitting a custom cruiser in impossible. I am leaning toward the Madacascar cage even though it is a bit smaller at 24 x 24 but taller at 48 inches, My current cage is 31 x20 and 40 inches tall. I think the Congo would be to big for my space. Does anyone else have this cage and how do you like it?

I have had this cage, and for the same reason you're considering it. I had a smaller space, but wanted to upgrade my gliders. At the time I had only the two, but often considered I may get another glider or two, which I did.

I was happy with that size for my trio, I liked many things about the cage. However when I moved across country I could not take it with me. I had a large screened (glide-arium style)enclosure that came with my single, male glider I homed. My plan was to use that enclosure until I could replace with a new cage. I ended up having much more space where we moved to, and with the hopes of eventually getting our own larger space, I purchased a Congo size. I actually got the one from Sun Coast gliders though.

The Madagascar does provide a good space for a trio though, and if space is limited, it is a great option.

I have that cage too with a trio and I love it. I like that it's tall, and not wide, so my sugar boogers can have height to move around in. I put their food bowls on different levels and hang their sleeping pouch at the top of the cage.

Here is a photo of one of the setups I had in my Madagascar cage. This one was before I got Ollie boy, so just my two girls. Not using any shelves in this design.

Here's another, across the top you can see a fringed pole liner, I used on the wood perch that came with the cage.

With two wheels, one regular size and one travel size.

Here is one of after Ollie moved in.

And with two regular sized wheels after Ollie moved in.

Just thought I'd give you an idea of what the Madagascar can hold and how many layouts you can design for your trio. I did at times use a shelf or two here and there.

You are very welcome. I know that when I was looking into getting the Madagascar cage, I was looking for reviews and photos of them set up so I could have an idea of what they might be like.

I do not believe that SunCoast sells the Madagascar, they sell the HQ cages as Sturdy (EN Brisbane equivalent) and the Lrg. Sturdy (EN Congo equivalent, but with more window/doors on the front).

Below is link where cage is available, also known as EN
sugar glider superstore

Discount code I have ends tomorrow, but I'll look out for the next one and give it you in a reply on this thread.

You are welcome Nora.

I realized it was out of stock after I sent the coupon code. Feel free to pm me when it comes back in stock and I'll check if there is a current coupon code available for you.

I hope it comes in soon, as I'm sure you are most excited about the upgrade for your babies.
