ok I not going to get into a long winded version of the events but I want to share some images of a recent pair of gliders and how their doing so far. Here the short story( for background)

I was asked to transport 2 gliders from local school to another person. I picked up gliders and cage and transported it back to my house until I can get up with person. During t he unloading their original cage fell apart ( rusted though in spots ) and was deemed unsafe and went into the trash. We set the gliders up in a temp cage. We saw one was limping and contacted the person, after some text and pictures ( which I am sharing here) vet care was deemed needed. Well later on after appointment was made and i left for work (rushed though my cleaning at work to make sure I could get to the vet). The person decide they want to wait and see. I am sorry Gliders are treated as if they my personal pets/children (even if not technically mine) I think it unfair to them and wrong to wait and see when you can tell there a issue. I was not able to get the thread that was causing the issue to come off. ( plus I was worried that if the blood in injury had clotted that a piece of the clot could break free and travel to the lung,heart or even brain and cause a stroke style event or worst death.) I have yet to hear/proven that it wont happen and as far as I know blood in any of gods critters does the same function. My wife and this person had words via Text and last message (for health concern) at the time was to just keep the gliders, I wont go into more as I think a lot was mis-read and (with stress at work from 2 different people blowing my phone up with text and getting yell at by boss over it all) I don't want to dredge it up. If the pictures dont show I link them from my photo bucket lol.

ok first pic is a close up of her toe when we first seen it it took us 10 minutes and about 20 shots to get this clear close up)

The second was of Sasha as she called the night we brought her back home from vet, and getting her some none pellets and after taking meds.


Final picture is of her cage mate reaching for my finger yesterday morning after meds and treats were given.My wife was saying she was thanking us for the care and loving home they now have.

AS a bonus here the picture of them in the temporary cage until I can order one for them. the sheet is only to keep them from flinging stuff to far.

The foot looked bad, you were wise to get him to the vet. You guys are awesome, and those gliders know that!

I'm so happy you took care of them . It was definitely the right thing to do.

When does he go back, and did he leave to bandade on his foot?

We go Friday a for a t least a bandage change and inspection by the doc. My wife only has her S4 cell.

We are seeing a little food aggression but I got to wait until I can find a larger cage to offer 2 feeding spots. it seems Sammi ( larger girl) greedy . I hoping cause they finally enjoying a proper diet and she just a little scared it may vanish.

I'm still trying to figure out my S4 phone. I have to email my pics to me on my tablet so I can reduce and add to drop box then post here. I have photo bucket, but haven't figured it out yet.

gliders are doing good, Sasha foot was re-bandaged and they wanted to wait another week and then remove the bandage and the stitches. Sasha was up like 6-7 grams already but I told my wife that could be bandage weight.

Dawn, your way sounds so complicated, photobucket is my favorite way to post pics. I can send pics from my phone and camera directly to photobucket and then just copy/paste the share link on here. No resizing or emailing needed. I am having a slight problem with my camera atm, but that's not on photobucket, that's on the stupid design of acquiring access to wi-fi, grr.

So up until Monday night Sasha been great about taking her meds now it a fight to get her to take them. at first we just simple put in a little spoon and mixed a drop of honey in with it, now she wont take it. I doubt her toe bothering her much if at all now cause she running jumping( flopping) in the cage as does sammi. I going to stop the metacam as she been on it for 12 days now. and seen i it can cause liver issues.


I did take tem to work with me yesterday and I didnt have any issues . Sammi only tried to leave the pouch 1 time and Sasha slepted all day.

I'm so glad to read they're doing so well!

Here is her toe today at the vet's she kept messing with it so I asked the vet to retape it until it dries(heals) a little more) I don't want to be dealing with any SM issues...

so I removed the bandage today ( evening) and outside a few bites and the lost of some of her hair ( I cut the hair instead of pulling on her skin) since it will grow back) it looks great and only has the tiny scab on it left. ( i think it mainly from where the stitches were)

so foot all healed up and doing great, she burning out wheel bearings trying to lose those grams she gained with her little foot cast lol. I still get a lot of crabbing but not as much biting and Sammie only tried ot nibble last night as I was letting her smell my hand ( may still had whoopee batter on them from helping my wife make glider treats .

SO I came home with 3 sissy pouches. ( one for each cage of gliders that willingly to come out some.) I love these pouches straps. Shasha and Sammi are a little mad/grump after being left home while we where at the SGGA and I think I may of set them back a week or 2 in bonding . but I will be taking them with me to work all week to make up for it.

They will forgive you. I didn't know you got 3 Sissy pouches, I thought you only got 1.

one for each group I take out lol 2 of the blue/grey ones and a larger one for the 6 gliders. ( each with their own strap so no skunking me/straps to say it their strap lol. ) I hoping if we end up keeping the 2 girls I can work them into the 6 pack and make a huge 8 glider colony that only has 1 male ( he neutered) lol

So in case no-one saw Sammi and Sasha now have their own boy toy. We came back from SGGA and the lady I was talking with before ( on here) brought her Boy Vino to me at work and surrender/I adopted him) and he was so depressed that all he would do was hid his face in a blanket and sit in corner, We felt so bad for him that we jump though QT and intro him to the girls and they one happy group. They would no stop rubbing on him for 2 days. We had a few issues with Vino and Stress and seizures but that seems to be over now not had any more in about 9 days. still watching them.

Wife wants to adopted them out as trio but i am working on gathering her requested adoption funds and bust her bubble all at once.

She blew a gasket when I told her she still wants them adopted. I will just shoot down anyone she thinks is good. I rather keep them here where i know they will be cared for. I erased the craigslist add. I did see a person has 7 up for adoption on Craigslist this morning.

Feather I actually wish I could sleep on the couch but we out watching Her aunt while her mom recovers from surgery and she snores loader than the gliders bark at night. my back been a really bothering me from trying to move stuff at work.

I still have my trio lol. I won't relist them ( only tell her I do) I going to say if still here after xmas they ours and to get over it.
they been doing good still getting nips and what not but they don't crab most the time Vino lets me pick him up some but he still flighty . I had him out at work and a person went to pet him he totally spazzed and ran up my arm so fast I though he go flopping off my back. but I put him in pouch and he calmed down no seizures in a few weeks, that we seen. Sadly the Sasha has a toe nail that seems bent on trying to in bed itself in her foot it curved and keeps trying to grow into her pad. I can't cut it much shorter with out drawing blood. ( thinking i might see about if possible to have nail removed totally (by vet ) and see if it will grow back normal.)

ok if my head will allow me to do this right , I took a video Wednesday before going to work of the Trio and I think everyone would enjoy seeing it. sorry my breathing sounds but they were in the Sissy pouch and I was not going to remove it lol.
