I have 4 sugar gliders now. I got Waco and Odessa last January and I just got aristocrat and accent in September. I have an amazing bond with Odessa but not with any of the other 3 because they just always try to bite me. I can go up to their cages and call their name and they'll come to me because I usually have a treat but won't come out of the cage to me if I opend the door. I do the same thing with them as I did with Odessa but it's not working. And even though Odessa is great with me she refuses to come to me to get out of the cage and I kind of have to force her out, but after that shes fine. I just don't know what else to do to get them not to bite me and like me.

Here is a good article for you to start with: http://www.glidercentral.net/ubbthreads/...th_y#Post922929

You will need to start from scratch with them, but with patients you will eventually bond with them.

Please keep us posted on your progress.

The article Feather suggested is a great read from the gliders point of view.

Do you have a tent or a small bathroom that can be baby/ glider proofed? (Clean, toilet lid down, toothpaste, chemicals put away, and all holes, escape routes plugged?)

We have had similar issues with our two. Hubby decided to use a treat to lure ours out of the cage by pulling up a chair to the cage (it takes awhile), door open, and putting his knee near the door and holding a mealie just out of reach. That way they have to step out on your knee. Usually, they will snatch the treat and go back inside. But it is a start.

Reward is the best way to encourage them to come to you. It takes time and patience and consistancy. Gliders need a schedule and daily interaction. Once you get Odessa to come out on her own, the other gliders will eventually follow suit to get a treat - each at their own pace. Once they see she hasn't been eaten, they will learn that their human tree is safe. Also, remember: "Monkey see monkey do".

Good luck, keep us posted, and we love pics!
