So as some of you already know, I have two young boys, Mochi (about 5 months old) and Chance (Now about 7 weeks OOP).
Now that our room-mate is officially moving out, my husband has decided to convert the room we have in the basement to a Glider room for me, where I'll be able to have not only their cages, but a large Glider-Safe space for them to play in. He's also said that when he's done, I'm allowed to have more of the little fur-balls (most likely a creamio female *fingers crossed!*) My two boys have gotten along beautifully, and the future plan is for Chance to be neutered, but we still want to see what kind of joeys that Mochi might produce, even without having his lineage. (They would of course remain our pets, and not be sold since I can't provide the background for them.)
I used to have a trio myself when I was a teenager, but that was two girls and a neutered male, so I was wondering if you all might tell me about yours!
What sort of Trio (OR colony!) do you have? How do your babies get along?
Do you think it would be best for me to keep the boys together and neuter one- or to try and get a girlie for each of them?
Feel free to give me advice, or just tell me stories about your trio or colony situation, how they get along, and how they get along with you! ;3

My colony of 5 is 4 girls and a neutered boy, just added.
I have a colony of 4, 2 girls and 2 neutered boys.
Mary's colonies consist of neutered boys, the 8 just lost a member, it used to be 9, now it is 1 girl and the rest boys.
The colony of 10 is mother and neutered father, their first two neutered sons and the last neutered son. We just introduced the previous 5 joeys back to mom and dad and the boys are neutered.

I have two neutered males & two squirrely females. They get along fine if occasionally bickering like siblings. Willing to play tub-o-war with each other over dried fruit treats. Sometimes Merlin sleeps alone or they split into pairs in the two pouches I leave for them, but are playing just fine the next day. All too cute for words.

I have a trio!
I started by homing a pair of females when they were about 1yr old. Over a year later I homed a lone, neutered male that had lost his cage mate and was in need of new mates in a new forever home. I followed the quarantine protocol, even though I felt that they all would have been fine without it. Then I followed pre-intro procedures and have had a trio ever since.
They all got along really great, but after a move across country after having Ollie (my boy) for only a few months and then purchasing a brand-spanking-new, super lrg cage, he started getting fussy. They still get along most of the time, but he gets a little fussy with them and chases them away from "his bowl" bowl of f/v or sometimes a toy he decides he doesn't want to share. They fuss a little once in a while in their pouch, but nothing out of the ordinary. I have also seen them eat all together fine as well, so I'm not worried that there are serious issues
