That's right!

The final portion of Phase I of the Sugar Glider Nutrition Study has been accepted for publication! That means the entire phase is completed. I'm so excited.

Each phase of the research will be submitted for publication in journals. What does this mean to us? This means that the work that WE are doing, and that WE are paying for is being shared world-wide to other nutritionists and vets. This means that diet plans can (and likely will be) modified to better suit the needs of sugar gliders. This means that what WE are doing will impact and likely change what zoos are doing in their feeding programs! This means that vets will learn more and better understand their dietary needs to recommend what actually works for them.

Guys, this is HUGE! We are making great strides for gliders, one step at a time.

Also, keep an eye out for the Vitamin D publication. This topic was presented at the 2017 OSGA. HUGE kudos to Peggy Brewer with Critter Love® for coordinating and paying for this study. It is also in the final stages of publication.

Not sure if ya'll know this or not, but Peggy donates 10% of all of her sales (food, toys, cages, etc.) to research. It isn't just donated for research on her own products that she sells, its for research in general. The Vit D study was paid 100% by Critter Love®. I don't know of any other diet creator (or anyone else for that matter) that is coordinating research projects and paying for them out of pocket. And let me tell you, this stuff isn't cheap!

So keep an eye out for that! I'm sure she will proudly post it when it's available for the public. As will I when the final portion of Phase I is.
