I'm a new glider mom with a lovely trio. One thing I've learned already is the need for change. My suggies get bored if the playroom or their cage is always the same. I find I need to change the ropes and vines and rotate toys in order to keep them engaged. I just think it's worth mentioning to fellow neebies!
Commit random acts of kindness and senseless acts of beauty.

Unless they're like my trio . Don't get me wrong, I change things up fairly frequently, but do they care: NO! No, they don't, all they care about is whether they can eat stuff or not. Their forage toys and wheels are, for the most part all they'll bother with most of the time. I've left some toys in their cage for two weeks before they'll even check it out. Other than a new toy that they'll inspect to see if it can be eaten, then leave it alone when it can't. They do however like their main hide-away toys (tree house and Noah's arc)I alternate, and they enjoy hanging out on their wood decks/perches, shelves, and fleece hammock if there's one in there. Oh, and they do like to climb on braided vines, not the fringy kind. The end. Sorry for the "The end" part, I'm a preschool teacher and read lots of stories all day, lol.

Mine love new stuff. Anytime I add new items or change it up they immediately know. Last weekend after a deep clean full outdoor scrub and hose down of the cages I set the cages back up with a new layout and new toys. I have a trio and a duo set up. It was 2:00pm out and bright and sunny and all 5 of the little boogers came scrambling out of their pouches to play, play, play. They investigate and touch everything. Things to do. Dangling fish to bat around. Vines to unbraid and bells to ring etc. Played for two hours right in the middle of the day.
