Well okay, is this some joke? lol
I click on the thread to read the updates (they amuse me, lol) and see a link to click to "See Gliders of the Round Table 6 is here (link)". So, as you would expect, I click the link. Hahaha, so the post on Gliders of the Round Table 6 says "see Gliders of the Round Table 5 here (link)". Now I find myself just going back and forth between 5 & 6.
JK, I got it, just messing around. Have a fun, safe journey Hutch!

You KNOW ... I could override those admin privileges, but not sure I could come up with some witty opening.
Maybe I'll just think of some other mischief to get into

Grinch, huh... so appropriate for me!
Karen, maybe something like: "Glider's log, supplemental: We have reached the sixth chapter in the on-going adventures of the Gliders of the Round Table as we explore this realm where we find ourselves. Strange life lives here in the form of a hoo-man servant with limited intelligence. Through years of training, we have finally reached a point we could almost count on him to give us yoggies upon demand. Despite this, we will continue to document our efforts to expand our territories, to seek out new food & new treats, & to boldly go to the basement & third floor like none of us has glided to before..."
Dawn, its on the internet, it must be true.

I did the same thing this morning. In my lame defense, my sister's coffee maker is too fancy for bleary-eyed me first thing in the morning. I am also a trekkie, I like it! Dawn, its on the internet, it must be true. Hutch you just can't go from Gliders of the Round Table to something Star Trek. Gliders of the Round Table on to the next adventure.

The Epicpendace Sagarious 6 Ok, are those real words??? I can't even spell them to Google them!!! Lol! Yes they are Dawn, lol, I made them up myself. Those words can be found in the Terry J dictionary, which is located in my brain for as long as I can remember them. Their definitions are self-explanatory, hahaha.

Did you ever find your wife in Florida? Lol! Just kidding!!!! Lol! Teasing or not, you'll get an update for asking, lol. Still working that one, but she lives in NY now. Fingers crossed that things will keep going well with that in 2018. Her work is taking her to London this month, I'm hoping to hop up there for a weekend to see her again. Hope you are having fun and enjoying the weather!!! Safe travels home! Hawaii was great fun. Got to meet my niece, see a ton of history (I LOVE history), & visit most of the military memorials (kind-of hits home). The weather was pleasant, but just seemed soooo... WRONG... for Christmas. I just got back late last night & will pick up the furballs later today. I can't wait, I've missed them terribly. The house always seems 'too quiet' without them.

Wow. I've never been to Hawaii!
It had to have been the warmest place in the 50 states!
I hope this freeze, cyclonic bomb (what ever they are calling it) doesn't get any where near you.
A lady friend? Awesome!!!!! Wishing you the best! I hope she likes fuzzbutts!

A lady friend? Awesome!!!!! Wishing you the best! I hope she likes fuzzbutts! She loves the pictures I occasionally send of them. I'll take it as a good start! Just got my furballs home They missed me, held still for several minutes of petting each. In a day or two, they'll remember to be upset that I left, but good feelings right now. Missed these cuties.

I almost squished my furballs last night I had placed their pouch at the rear my armrest when I took a bathroom break from cuddles/TV. On the return, I'd grabbed a snack & soda, & was opening them as I sat down. ALMOST all the way seated on the edge, I felt... a lump. I pushed back up then turn around to see they'd managed to roll the whole pouch off the armrest & to the front edge! As you may be able to guess, all four popped out of their pouch & found various perches all around the recliner. Not even a crab in warning or chiding. If I hadn't been half asleep & fighting with a box-top, I would have noticed... but they've also never rolled their whole pouch like that before. Maybe they forgot the routine while I've been away, but I must keep a better eye on that. *reminds self to breath... breath* I'm pretty sure my heart missed multiple beats there I've kept a close eye on them the rest of last night & all today (they're playing right now). They don't seem any worse for wear, so I think I got lucky & noticed in time. Small miracles (four, to be exact). ------------------------------------------------------- In better news, Dawn: They're crazy for the pouches you made me that has the fringe!

Small miracles (four, to be exact). ------------------------------------------------------- In better news, Dawn: They're crazy for the pouches you made me that has the fringe! Yes, my two have started doing "the roll" too! I'd left their dirty pouch on top of their cage, and during out of cage play, while I had briefly left for a potty break, they found it, crawled in and had it to the edge in 35 or so seconds. I thought to my self, oh, thought that was in hamper... Nope, two chunky balls of dryer lint inside! (Did I mention potty break is a bout 5' from cage? I can't see them, only hear them.) I stuck my fringy sleeping pouch in to try out on Christmas day. They just migrated over to it 3 days ago... My only issue with it was last night. Dot was out, Fiona, in the pouch. I gave them each a mealie, and when I reached in pouch to find and give Fiona hers, she found the tip of my finger first, then the yogi. I'm sure they both smelled the same, but startled me a bit!Lol! Sometimes I wish they would use their hands instead of teeth to snatch things from me.!! So glad they are ok!

I'm sure they both smelled the same, but startled me a bit!Lol! Sometimes I wish they would use their hands instead of teeth to snatch things from me.!! Mine apparently were much more in to it. Normally I have to place a 'new' pouch in there about a week before they'll migrate over. If I'm trying to get them to leave one of the big ones you've made me, it takes even longer. Not this time! First night a fringy one was in there, they migrated from one of the Dawn Specials to this new sleeping place with all these fun stands to pull in with them. I was like "Whaaa-?!" Floored. Before, when I had them in my lap, they would come to the top & pop their head out if they wanted my attention. What they've done the last few nights is come up near the top, barely poke their nose between the strands, & make popping sounds to get my attention. If that doesn't work, then the head will come all the way out (or in Gwyn's case, a little pink paw starts *waving at me from between fronds). *So, picture this: her paw slips out near the base of the frindge & then she makes a grabbing motion at the edge. Sometime she actually grabs the edge, sometimes just air, but doesn't pull the edge in. It looks like waving to me, lol

Hutch, My two are spoiled where pouches go. Their favorite pouch was a fringed one that was not as Depp and the fringe actually is long enough to build a nest with underneath them. I quit using it... Well, I guess I don't have a reason... Lol! Oh it's home I think. At the bottom of a tote covered in matching cage sets...

Woo-hoo, 1000 posts! Okay, really I just haven't had much to say & we've only been doing the routine stuff (no antics or share-worthy pictures lately). We're all still around, though! Also, just as a reminder, the Gliders of the Round Table are ridiculously cute... in case you forgot while I've been not-sharing, lol. I'll try to capture some new pictures this weekend (I own them an extended play session anyways). Maybe they'll cooperate & I'll be able to update my avatar to go with chapter 6. (Anyone want to place odds on that? )

Kim, we should change him from 'the grinch...' Hahaha, & here I thought it was going to be my own continuing moniker Edit: Looks like Comrade 2Dog FluffyPants is still 'christmasy' too, in case you're wanting to normalize things again.

Well, tonight didn't go well...
It starts with our usual pouch time after my dinner. Since they haven't been climbing out until around 2200, I should've had a while to go. A little before 2100, though, the bickering & crabbing started. No fighting (my hand was in there, I'm pretty sure I would know), but a lot of complaining. Shortly after, Merlin began a 15min stretch where he kept sticking his head out, or partially coming out, before diving back after a few scratches from me.
About 2100 he started spazzing out & jumping all over me. I kept trying to corral him to ensure he didn't run off & hopefully settle down. Instead, he stresses out and has a seizure. At least he's someplace I can actually scoop him up, right as it begins, instead of him locking himself someplace I can't really do anything. So I gather him in my hand in such a way to prevent him from flailing around, ensure I have his paws near parts of my fingers he'll be able to hold on to easily, then hold him against my chest for comfort.
What would be best right now is for the others to stay in the pouch. That is also exactly what does NOT happen. I decide I need to return the other so I can focus on Merlin... this also does not conform to their plans. I have ALL THREE (yes, Arthur suddenly became un-lazy) jumping, scurry, running, and relieving themselves everywhere... doubly so on me AND MERLIN! Seriously!?
After some time alternating between comforting Merlin, tracking wayward gliders, & attempting to usher them into the cage to stay, my poor boy begins to settle down from his post-seizure panic (it's a breathing/clutching difference). I am able to hold several yoggies, one at a time, right under his nose for him to take. That helps liven him up back to something resembling alertness.
I figure this would be a good time to get him back in the cage where he'll feel more secure. As I go to do so, two things happen: Arthur makes an escape leap (again) & Merlin gives my thumb a serious bite. I can't remember the last time they managed to draw blood! Now, I have the conundrum of returning him to the cage after a bite or keeping him with me as I go after Arthur (who's paused long enough to start making a puddle in the middle of my kitchen). I decide with everything, he gets to go back & have his little victory tonight.
I proceed to continue to collect the other furballs playing musical glider & going all different directions. One by one they get treats from me as they choose to cooperate, which only makes them want to come out for more instead of our normal understanding that it means we're done. *sigh*
After all of that, as I'm trying to put Gwynevere back... SHE TAKES A PIECE OUT OF A FINGER!!! I've gone from not being able to recall the last time they drew blood to twice in one night, two different fingers, by two different gliders!! What the [censored series of words] is going on!?
I get them dinner only to have the girls ambush me as I try to put it in the cage. OMG, this is beyond a circus show. The three stooges would be proud. It is another 20min before I manage to close the door of the cage with all four inside.
By this time, they've managed to use me as a toilet to such an extent that I only want a hot shower. Another thing we've managed to avoid for a very long time. Of course, that came after I cleaned up the trails they made on my shelves & floor. I really MUST wash that shirt & those jeans tomorrow.
It started as a nice, cuddly night. It did not end well.

Hutch,
This is such a sweet story!
I feel your pain!
After the day I had on top of our eventful trip, I needed to laugh and smile... Maybe it just hit my funnybone... Maybe I'm just delirious...
I wish Merlin didn't have seizures though... I'm surprized he had it in him to bite.

I wish that too... & I agree, I was surpised, hes usually just wants to be put on a hammock. Don't worry, I figured some people would get a good laugh out of it & maybe a few cringes. 1. Never, ever get a Mogwai wet. 2. Never, ever let your suggies out during a full moon. Now you tell me! They should come with warning labels.

"Play with them in the morning", they say. "They'll be soo much calmer & ready to sleep", they claim. It's 0830hrs local. The gloomy sun it up & I just finished a short 30min play session with my furballs. They were still quite active. As in 'children it's a snow day - to go play' active. Now they're bouncing around the cage & two of them are racing each other in the wheels. (BTW, putting their travel wheel in the cage with them, two paws up.) Play was fun though, even the boys were interactive. Merlin took some convincing, but even he came to me & stayed on my shoulders for a while just watching the others. Lots of jumping, clambering, and climbing around. Lots of retrieving gliders as they made a break for it. Gwyn was in rare form. She found a plastic bag which I was storing some of their smaller toys in... & decided it must be killed. I took her away from it several times, took it away from her several time (the last of which she clung to it & had to be pried off), & relocated it across the room. The rest of the playtime, she kept trying to get away from me & go after it. I think she was still glaring at the bag once her butt was back in the cage. Ooo... while I've been typing this, two have made it into the pouch! The best news is: 10min of Merlin hopping to & from me, all on his own. Some almost appeared that they almost could be maybe considered a jump. He usually saves anything over about half-a-foot for running away. There goes Gwyn into the pouch. One grey-body left. Almost certain that would be Morgana, but without looking to see how dark the stripes are, can't be 100%. Oh, OH! There she(?) goes! 0850hrs. They were up & playing hard a little after 2100hrs last night. Impressive. I wonder if they're up this late more often since I'm normally at work or (on weekends) just getting up about now. Hmmm...

Wow! sounds like you all had a lot of fun! Maybe they were excited you were up this morning. But they may have some playtime daily once you leave for work too. I've wanted a good camera for their cage. So I can see what they're up to. I think it would be fun to watch. So you're doing gliding lessons? Gwen wants to hunt. She needs a bag of giant plastic bugs. My two love to "hunt" their bug puppets I found. They fit over the tip of your finger. I've also tied clear elastic string on them and pulled it through their cage, or on the floor. Once they go to bed, I poke them in the bars(no string attached of course) and found them dead on the floor of their cage the next morning. Hum... I need to order more... My grandkids like them too... I think they took all mine to play with their stuffed sugar gliders.... You are a great fuzzbutt dad!

Ahh morning playtime! I really liked having playtime with my gliders in the morning. We're still working on getting adjusted to evening ones though, since I don't see fitting am playtime in. But lately it's been rough getting in any and will probably continue to be so for at least a few more weeks. sounds like it went well for you though, everyone having fun!

My turds are still turds... but lovable turds. Several nigh wake-ups due to their (Gwyn's) barking. They're hissing again, so it looks like I'll need a vet visit. Being nippy if I don't offer sufficient treats. All it in, life with them (at least as far as them) is good.

It's official: By the end of summer, our next living space will be located in or near Abilene, Texas. It could be worse. This will be quite a change of scene for my furballs. I kept the set-up they were shipped to me in, so not worried about that. I'm sure they'll appreciate US style climate-control as much as I will.

Yay!!!! So, I've been dying to ask this since way back... Will they have to go through quarantine? Do you have someone to ship them to? Do you have a backup plan in case that someone can't be there? Will you have a temporary cage till your furniture gets stateside? I had more questions, but I forgot!!!

Of course it was dark and rainy at the time I actually couldn't see much. The first motel I stopped at was creepy, well I didn't feel comfortable while traveling alone with my fur babies. I don't even remember the name of the motel/hotel it was or the one I ended up staying at, which was okay. I was telling my co-teacher about how creepy Abilene felt, she looked it up and saw that "The Chainsaw Massacre" was filmed there, lol.

Yay!!!! Well, at least someone is happy, lol. I just keep telling myself that there are places I'd be less happy about (Mississippi, I'm glaring at you). I'm also attempting to have a sense of humor about it: the first two years of my career were in Texas, now my last two will be in Texas. Symmetry! So, I've been dying to ask this since way back... So why didn't you silly Will they have to go through quarantine? As of when I had I them shipped to me, no. I'll be making sure nothing has changed as I arrange their paperwork.Do you have someone to ship them to? Nope. I'm hoping that I'll be able to make arrangements to have them on my flight.Do you have a backup plan in case that someone can't be there? Nope. My backup plan will be having friends here send them to me once I get there. Will you have a temporary cage till your furniture gets stateside? If things go how I want, I'll collapse their travel cage, food, etc. into their own suitcase to go with me. If I need to leave them here (see back-up plan), then I'll order something for there. I had more questions, but I forgot!!! Well, if you would have asked me when you first thought of them hehe That is what I have been wondering also. Hope it goes smooth when the time comes. Me too! It was pretty smooth getting them here with Pricilla Price's help from The Pet Glider. I may reach out to her again for advise if I'm having trouble verifying everything.
If you take a military plane home can they ride on your lap. I know the commercial flights don't even allow them in the cabin. That won't be an option for me, they're going to want to ly me commercial from here. I'm not sure that they still let you do pets, these days. They're cracked down a lot on the military flights.
I stayed over in Abilene TX on my return move from AZ. Of course it was dark and rainy at the time I actually couldn't see much. The first motel I stopped at was creepy, well I didn't feel comfortable while traveling alone with my fur babies. I don't even remember the name of the motel/hotel it was or the one I ended up staying at, which was okay. Eh, yeah, I haven't really heard too much to look forward to there. I guess one middle-of-nowhere is like any other. I was telling my co-teacher about how creepy Abilene felt, she looked it up and saw that "The Chainsaw Massacre" was filmed there, lol. Totally not surprised We are all assuming you will be glad to be back State side. I would rather have stayed overseas.
Guess it would be easier to see that 'gal' we heard about A bit easier & cheaper, yes. Won't be a nine-hour flight anymore, at least. Still, when I found out I was most liking returning to US soil, I requested the east coast. Silly me, thinking I'd be sent anywhere besides the south.

Hutch, you crack me up!!! Well, I'm not gonna try to use the quote on my tablet, so here goes... Way back when, I didn't know you very well, and I didn't want to drill you about your business and your future. I learned to have faith in you over time, and you would do good by "The Round Table". Over time, it wasn't as important to know. Now you have 4-6 months to ponder and get everything ready. The quarantine question: Way back MANY years ago, dogs and cats had to be quarantined, along with a certificate of health. I was curious about gliders. Since they don't carry diseases like domestics, I didn't know. So your flight, will you land on the east coast, and go through customs there? And take off again for Abilene? No direct flight? Will you be changing planes, if so, does the plane(s) have a pressurized cargo area? Do you get to pick the airline you fly on? Abilene... Well, it's smack dab in the middle of the state... 2 years, huh?... Well, I have nothing to say about that... I hope there are things to do on base... Maybe work on your tan... As far as I know, there are no gators... Maybe a few longhorns... Maybe take up flying? Sharpshooting rocks at 1500+ yards? Germany is a beautiful place, take it all in... You will need a mental happy place when you get to TX. Have fun short timer! Ein bier bitte! Wo ist der flughafen?

Hutch, you crack me up!!! Well, I'm not gonna try to use the quote on my tablet, so here goes... But... but... but... challenges equal growth! Actually, I'm with you, I avoid responding on my phone or tablet. Way back when, I didn't know you very well, and I didn't want to drill you about your business and your future. I learned to have faith in you over time, and you would do good by "The Round Table". Over time, it wasn't as important to know. Okay that's fair... & the flattery doesn't hurt Now you have 4-6 months to ponder and get everything ready. I really need to have everything squared away in four months as I'll be leaving early to mid-July. You know, the perfect time to visit the heart of Texas The quarantine question: Way back MANY years ago, dogs and cats had to be quarantined, along with a certificate of health. I was curious about gliders. Since they don't carry diseases like domestics, I didn't know. A lot of that has become more relaxed depending on where you're coming from. I'll need a certificate of health and an import certificate... what else is still to be confirmed, but I have all the original export documents. So your flight, will you land on the east coast, and go through customs there? I suspect so, but maybe direct to San Antonio Int'l? Sadly, I won't have much say in it. Knowing my usual luck, I'll be sent through Chicago, just to make the flight that much longer. Because they can. And take off again for Abilene? I hope so, it would be a loooong walk. Is hitch-hiking still a thing? I doubt it, small airport. Will you be changing planes, if so, does the plane(s) have a pressurized cargo area? It better, I don't think they can hold their breath that long... though in Arthur's case I'm not sure I'd be able to tell the difference if he didn't get enough oxygen. Do you get to pick the airline you fly on? Nope That was actually a problem coming here that cause a lot of complications. In the end, it resulted in me giving away my pet snake at the time to someone who'd care for her. Not happening this time!!! ( BTW: Shipping snakes internationally... $$$$. Having my four Sugar Gliders flown here was cheaper than having one small-ish snake flown here, by several hundred dollars!) Abilene... Yeah, 2 years after I get there is when I hit 20 years of service & High-Year-Tenue. At least the end will be in sight. Bright side, maybe? My ghost-like hide doesn't tan. I do pale to lobster & back, only. Funny you mention flying, I'm already looking for a school to finish my Instrument Rating... after I shake six years of rust off. Germany is a beautiful place, take it all in... You will need a mental happy place when you get to TX. Yes, seen so many lovely things here! I can sit in an air-conditioned corner, rocking back & forth with the furballs in a pouch, muttering 'remember the Rhein... think of Trier... visualize the Christmas markets in Bruge' Have fun short timer! Ein bier bitte! Wo ist der flughafen? Just one? Sure you don't want a case? They'll ship me out through Düsseldorf.

Hutch, you could ship them to one of us before you leave, but then you would have to come to Wisconsin or Missouri to get them.

Sorry Hutch, I didn't mean to be dissing Abilene, I'm sure it's not as bad as all that. When I passed through it was dark and rainy, just stayed the night, out quick and early. I was on a thirty-something mile journey all by my lonesome, towing my life In a u-haul trailer, so understandably a bit gloomy.
I actually enjoyed driving through El Passo, parts of TX are quite pretty and nice. Now east of TX, I really enjoyed AR, stayed overnight there too, but don't remember the name of the town. Very nice folk there! I also enjoyed passing through TN and VA, which I also stopped over in. Though, the SW will always be my fav!

I promise I'll give them back!!! I'll keep that in mind, ladies, though I don't believe it'll come to that. You say you'll give them back, Dawn, but just wait until Arthur starts working on you. He's proven to be quite the ladies-glider. Sorry Hutch, I didn't mean to be dissing Abilene, I'm sure it's not as bad as all that. You have nothing to apologize for Terry, you're hardly the first person I've talked to concerning the area. I've also been researching on-line and have yet to be impressed.

As an additional note for tonight: Why is it these goofy balls of dryer lint ignore me when I'm hanging out near them and do their own thing, but the moment I climb in bed they (Gwyn) begins barking up a storm demanding attention?
Well, all of them except Arthur tonight... he was being a grumpy fluff-butt, constantly crabbing from the pouch. Well, that is until I put a pine nut in his face, that quieted him down so I could deal with the other squeaky ones. Oh yea, mine do this too. It's their way of telling you, "Hey, get back here! We aren't through ignoring you yet! Where's my treat?!?"

You do realize that: Dogs have friends, Cats have staff and Sugar Gliders have "SLAVES"!

Wow! That is a lot of bottle rings! Mine collect blankies out of the other pouches!!! I would make it a game like you are doing. Maybe the round table will help her collect them.

In the whole time period I've had my gliders I've only found bracelets in their pouch a few times. These were only very specific types of bracelets, very, very thin, a little bumpy and super light. I never figured out who took them in and whether or not they "tail carried" or carried by mouth. For all I know it my have been a joint effort. Anyhow, all my gliders do is eat, poop, pee, sleep, groom, and spin. Oh yeah, and I almost forgot, glare at me

My two prefer pumpkin seeds cracked or broken in half. They will throw whole uncracked seeds out of the cage.... Ugh! Its been really cold here in my corner of Germany. Well, really cold for my corner of Germany and my poorly sealed rental house. With my floor heating set at 20dC (68dF), my house has been able to maintain 62-65dF. Barely. What does that mean?
I get home & curl up in a blanket for dinner in front of a movie with my gliders under the cover with me. They seem to appreciate it as 15-20 min later, they begin to make content popping noises & keep it up until they stir for the night. Glad I can make them happy by body-heat, lol. I'd give them more blankets, but the cram them in the bottom instead of curling up under them :-/ Silly fuzzies. I feel for you! I hope it gets warmer soon! Or, you could enjoy it while you can... When you move stateside, you will be warm, warm, warm... Hot winds blasting your face... Did I mention wind? Lots of it....

Lots of it.... Gahh... will you please stop reminding me! *sigh* only two more years... only two more years... In other news... it got even colder >.< But they are still playing at night & eating well, so I'm not too worried for them. Me? If my add anymore blankets to my bed, it might break. I really should see if the landlord will fix the seal on that window. It fine when the wind isn't strong enough to knock down trees. We're down 3 trees on the block the last few days. It was 15dF last night. Tonight isn't suppose to be as bad, a balmy 20dF. "Hey furbutts, instead of playing all night, want to cuddle to keep warm? No? Okay, the's cool." >.>

Random ponderings around 0020hrs: Do sugar gliders like riding on their human's back because it reminds them of ma & pa glider, they realize that location is the hardest for us to reach, or do they have some kind of 'Master-Blaster' complex? Discuss. (For those missing the reference, Master Blaster was a pair of characters from Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome) (Good movie, I should see if it's on one of the many instant movie services.)

This is a just a guess... I think they ride on mom and dad's back, and our back so they don't get bitten or eaten.

These are my suggestions IF you really want to try this:
Water can't be hot.
You could cover up with a sheet and over tub.
Dry towels handy.
Just in case, keep noses above water.
Peel out of dirty clothes so they can play explore something near you.Leave snacks.
Can you keep track of all four while relaxing?
Expect a face hug or four.
Toilet lid shut.
Sleeping pouch handy hanging
Low lights and expect your soak to be interrupted or short. No running water...
I can't believe you have a place over there that has a bathtub big enough to soak in!
Are you up to all of that?
I have stepped into the shower with a hitch hiker. They were curious about the running water and wet skin. Got a few drops on their face and were done.
Ha! Thought I'd say absolutely not, didn't you?
If they get wet, they will lose body heat fast. How warm is your bathroom?

These are my suggestions IF you really want to try this:
Water can't be hot. Easy, I usually do 'very warm' instead of 'hot' for my back. Seems to help more.
You could cover up with a sheet and over tub. Hmm... sounds problem problematic.
Dry towels handy. Yup!
Just in case, keep noses above water. If this happens, I'd alreaday be fishing them out. Though, Gywn & Merlin have proven in the past they could swim. (They wanted to help with dishes.)
Peel out of dirty clothes so they can play explore something near you.Leave snacks. I do this for bathroom time anyways. Well, not the dirty clothes part, other than a towel I'm about to change for a resh on anyways. Usually bring their small wheel too.
Can you keep track of all four while relaxing? Pretty normal for our usual bathroom time.
Expect a face hug or four. Pretty normal for our usual bathroom time.
Toilet lid shut. Pretty normal for our usual bathroom time.
Sleeping pouch handy hanging Pretty normal for our usual bathroom time.
Low lights and expect your soak to be interrupted or short. No running water... Dim lights are normal for our bathroom time & my soaking.
I can't believe you have a place over there that has a bathtub big enough to soak in!It's shallower than a usual America tub, but I bend my knees enough, I can get most my torso completely submerged. Since it's my low back with the damaged disk, that's enough.
Are you up to all of that? Doesn't sound too different than our normal bathroom times besides a little extra vigilance, actually.
I have stepped into the shower with a hitch hiker. They were curious about the running water and wet skin. Got a few drops on their face and were done. As I said, two have demonstrated their swimming prowess to me. It was *jump*, &splash-splash-splash*, *leap*, *hide from the towel while making hoo-man's shirt as wet as possible*
Ha! Thought I'd say absolutely not, didn't you? Yup, totally.
If they get wet, they will lose body heat fast. How warm is your bathroom? Always keep it the warmest room in the house, about 75-77 dF. Helps dry things out since Europeans do not believe in active ventilation.

With a shallow tub, they will explore. Stay on you mostly, and be a bit curious about the water. Mine still give it a good sniff if I have it out in bowls.
With the room that warm, a shallow tub, I might try it.
Oh, nothing in water like epsom salt, Mr Bubble, bath salts, oils. Dawn dish soap for bubbles maybe.
I would risk feet, tail and maybe belly getting wet/damp for some good sensory enrichment.
But, I also trust you and your judgement too!

My opinion even with all of your answers to Dawn is . . . . . . . . . . . Not a good idea because any one of them could aspirate water into their little lungs in the blink of an eye which could cause pheumonia or other health issues.
Since they haven't been with you during your relaxation time up until now, why stress yourself having to keep up with your lovebugs?
Keep that time for yourself rather than twisting and contorting your back trying to figure out where they are

Oh the horrible scratches from Skadoosh when dosing her with meds, she actually even bit me towards the last couple of days. And, she's still giving me the cold shoulder.

Hopefully they flavored the medicine for you.
Fiona took hers- oh heck in the beginning they were both fighting dryer lint. But as the process was repeated daily, I got better at anticipating their moves and by they last 3days, Fiona would only put up a slight stuggle, and then just lay there, with her mouth wide open, like, 'get this over with". Dot fought less but not as complacent as her sister.

Oh the horrible scratches from Skadoosh when dosing her with meds, she actually even bit me towards the last couple of days. Yup, dealing with some of that. Apparently, the first time was as easy as it was only because he didn't know what was coming. Three doses & my hands look like they went through a blender. And, she's still giving me the cold shoulder. Sorry to hear that. I'm liberally bribing Arthur afterward, so I hope to avoid having a long recovery of trust. He is already acting like a beaten stepchild right afterwards Well good luck with Arthur anyway. Thanks, I think I'll need it. Hopefully they flavored the medicine for you. Nope Fiona took hers- oh heck in the beginning they were both fighting dryer lint. But as the process was repeated daily, I got better at anticipating their moves and by they last 3days, Fiona would only put up a slight stuggle, and then just lay there, with her mouth wide open, like, 'get this over with". can only pray Arthur gets there soon. Since the first dose he has been fighting me so much. For the third dose I added a little extra to account for how much I guessed he end up wearing. Dot fought less but not as complacent as her sister. Dot + Complacent does not compute.

Hutch, take that little dryer lint ball and wrap him up like a burrito with his head sticking out and then medicate him.
Can't have you looking like you got into a fight with a rabid raccoon.

Yeah, I tried the baritto method as well, it worked okay for the first couple to few days. She started resisting as she started to feel a little better I guess. Her meds was flavored, and I offered whatever she would take for comforting, she still hates me.
Although, last night I held her in my hand, which means she sat in my hand as I fed her freeze dried mealiies.

Hutch seeing as I have treated more gliders than I can remember I am going to explain how I do it.
I get them in a pouch with their head sticking out, I hold them with their back against my stomach. Then using my left hand I put a thumb over the head and a finger under the chin to immobilize the head.
I then wiggle the syringe into the side of the mouth to get the little link ball to open, I place the meds to the side of the mouth to avoid them aspirating the meds.

sounds like what I am trying to accomplish, except I've been using a fleece blanket instead of a pouch. I guess I need more time to refine the technique. Part of my trouble is I'm afraid of hurting him, I have to hold him so tight & he tries so hard to keep his mouth shut. I really appreciate the detailed description, it helps. I'll keep at it.

Sending well wishes for treatment to do the trick first round, we don't want either of you going through extended ordeal of meds.

I'm glad to here you have figured out "The grip" it takes to hang on to him... I chalked the issues I had to fear of hurting them. Dot and Fiona hissed while pottying for quite awhile after their UTI cleared up. They didn't seem in pain. That's been 2years ago, and occasionally they hiss still. Maybe it's just a relief sound. And yes they each have been tested 3 times since and was given a good bill of health. Yay!

Well at least she wasn't biting you to leave poor Arthur alone.

I bet she was there for moral support. Kissing him and telling him it will be OK.

Yesterday was Arthur last day on the meds, but he seems to be a little unsure about things now. When I was giving out treats tonight, he actually went to hide under the wheel! Well, not going to allow that, I opened the door & held one out so he could see it, but had to come & get it. Arthur didn't hesitate, but scurried right on over. He solidly grabbed on to my fingers with both paws & ate the yoggie & pine nut I was offering.
He also refused to let go. I tried to wiggle my fingers free, but he only held on harder, eating directly from my fingertips. Once the treats were gone, I again tried to get him to let go by rubbing his toes between the fingers he was holding. He looked right at me... then bit me. Not too hard, but I did feel it.
After a loud "OW!" & blowing on him, he released me. He keeps that attitude up & he'll only be able to watch others get the goodnight treats. Turd.
