I continue to research possibly breeding one of the two (not related) Leucistic gliders. I am considering a platinum for the male.
I think I understand the probabilities and possibilities-dependent on the male I purchase and paying the extra for my girls data-if available.

I would like to breed a few times in an attempt to get 100% leu het/platinum or leu gliders. Of course, other colors would be fine but my goal would be leu.

I have seen information suggesting there may be some inherited traits in some of the leu lines that would be important to avoid. My question is, without the Glider database information on my females-if it turns out not to be available, will I need to purchase a different female or is it safe to go with Platinum that is a registered glider in the data base and breed to one of my female leu? I think I know the answer but not sure. I have an extremely pretty, sweet female that I feel would be a great mate but maybe I am just hopeful!

I don't breed for hets I am mostly black beauty and mosaics so I can't help you there.
