1. I saw sisal rope can be dangerous to gliders. Is it not recommended to use at all? If you keep up with it and trim the fly-aways, should it be okay? I'm curious for future purchases.You can buy natural cotton rope by the foot from Amazon. See link here. Simply buy what you need in any color. Tie a knot in each end and install in your enclosure. It can be washed when dirty. I used cotton horse leads in my enclosures, and the gliders loved them. Don't think Amazon had the option of buying by the foot way back then 
2. Lets say you are having a rough time finding homes for your joeys' and your house is starting to pile high with gliders' you can't afford or have room for. There is a cage on Exotic Nutrition named the "Double Wide Cage" that claims to be ideal for breeding and separating males and females. Could you use this cage to separate your breeding pairs without stressing them out? They could interact through the bars, (could they still mate through the bars though??..) and you wouldn't have to neuter your male earlier than you would have liked. I'm just curious for breeding projects. (I really don't want to have to neuter my male before retirement but if this situation did happen to me, I can't seem to find any other solution than cutting him. I'm thinking for the future.) Please note that I'm not going to resort to the cage solution (unless I knew my gliders' wouldn't stress hard over it), but I would like opinions on if it could be a possible option. First, you can separate the joeys from the parents which is what I hope you are doing. I'm not sure what you mean by "your house is starting to pile high with gliders' you can't afford or have room for" What are you doing with the joeys?
Second, I don't personally like the idea of separating a bonded pair, however, if you have to do that, I especially don't like separating them to where they are still that close together. It puts them both under lots of stress not being able to actually be together.
If you have so many unwanted gliders, why not get the male neutered? You already know it is difficult to place the joeys. What would change that in the future?

You would also have to house each breeding male separate from each other and the male joeys.
Scent of females in heat could cause fights and possible deaths amongst an unneutered adult males.
As far as the rope I'm not sure. I use braided fleece.

What I meant by that quote you mentioned is this: lets say you are a sugar glider breeder. In order to keep your house from filling up with your breeding pairs joeys, you need to find appropriate homes for them to go to. If you don't find those homes, you will need to keep them at your own home until further notice. If you still can't find homes for the older joeys, you will need to keep them and also care for the new incoming joeys your pair are producing, creating what I tried to call a "pile up".
