How big does a hospital cage need to be? I know bigger is always better, and the size recommended might change based on how long the glider would be in it, but let's say for a one week stay. The Congo Cage set us back a bit. I was kinda hoping another big cage investment could wait a little while lol.
Thanks

It really depends on the need for the cage. If a glider has been hurt and may not or should not climb high, the cage shouldn't be very tall. I would think something the size of a Pocket Pets starter cage would be ideal. I am looking for one of those myself. Without the shelves in it. I also have a Finch cage I used to use in my RV. It is now my quarantine cage. It's measurements are (I think) 36" tall x 25" w x 13" deep. It folds up for storage. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00SK7HOY...OII16&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_itI will use 2 trampoline/parachutes out of their cage sets to keep them from falling too far at a time if it's needed. This cage has had to be sanded and repainted once. I retired it about a year ago and got a nicer and bigger cage.

I did forget to mention I also have a pop up dog kennel too for travel. I would consider using it also. It goes where ever we go. I lay it on it's side when we use it. It holds a treadmill or a travel size wheel. I built a PVC frame for the inside to reinforce(I have toddler grandkids, and I don't want any accidents) and hang their pouches and toys from. https://www.walmart.com/ip/SportPet-Pop-Open-Kennel-Medium/5192525

I watch for Pocket Pet cages to be on craigslist. Just got one the other day. I will be taking the shelf and ramp out of it. They work great for hospital cages, quarantine cages, over flow cages (in the case of my rescue). I have even used them as travel cages.
Once you take the shelf and the ramp out you can fit a Spinzone or Raptor wheel in the cage.
