Suggies love to hang out under your warm sweatshirt. It's also a great way to get to know them, but there is a trick. Here it is:

1. In the evening, lure them out of their pouch with food. You can just place the dish out in their cage. My suggies awake immediately an race each other to the food. They also go to the bathroom as they eat.

2. Remove their pouch as they eat. If you leave the pouch in, they will go right back to sleep (VERY IMPORTANT). My pouch is very easy to remove. I let them sleep in the same pouch that goes around my neck, just hang it inside the cage using a hook.

3. When your suggies are done eating, offer them to go inside the sleeves of your T-shirt by spreading the sleeve with your hand. It's nice and warm inside and mine go readily in. They lick my hands, lay o their backs and sometimes play by biting through the sweatshirt. I can see their little fangs go right through it. They also go all around sometimes popping their head out. You become their entire world. And the feeling you get when their fine fur is rubbing against your bare skin is just amazing (sometimes they also get under my T-shirt).

Sophia and Sonia are 10 years old now, and Sonia is very sick. I wish I have learned this little trick earlier. I would have spent a lot more time with them frown.

Thank you for posting how this worked for you, and it may worked for others as well.

Just remember to give all gliders time to acclimate to their new surroundings first and always move at their pace. Never force them to do things they are not ready to do, especially when it comes to bonding with their human.

Once they see you will not harm them, most will readily find those warm and cozy places as yours do heart

I will have to try this. One of my guys will occasionally crawl under my shirt.

My little sugar babies love getting under my shirt! I am wary of one of them at the present, as he is a bit rough with the nipping/ grooming thing, but he still enjoys it.
