Hello, I had a 4 year old male snuggie who was as healthy as could be. Last night I went to go feed them before i left for work and thought it was odd that my male wasn't out. I checked the pouches after panicking because he was always the first one out to greet me. I found him passed in the pouch. He had blood on his nose, his ears were red, it looked like he was internally bleeding, you could see blood in his finger nails. I have no idea what happened to my baby and i just saw him the night prior and he was doing fine, greeted me and everything. i could not find any puncture wounds on him or anything, I am just at a loss for words on what happened to my sweet boy. If anyone has seen this before please help me.

I am so very sorry for your loss of this little fella, and it was surely a shock to find him passed the way you did.
Without having a vet look at him and doing a necropsy, you may never know what happened. Even then you may not know for certain because gliders are very good at hiding illness until they are very very ill.
How many gliders were in the enclosure/pouch? Did you happen to notice if there was blood on the pouch mate? This is a hard question - did you notice whether or not his eyes were still intact? I ask because sometimes the remaining glider/s will remove the eyes and we really don't know why. There could have been a small struggle in the end which would account for the blood on the nails and in the ears. Then again, it might not have happened that way. Only a vet could tell you for sure.
Please take a few moments to register in order that you may take full advantage of the forum.
Again, so very sorry for your loss.
