Hi! My little 6 month old glider seems to have gotten her foot wrapped around thread and we were able to get it off, but now her foot is extremely red and swollen. What should we do? She keeps licking it and limping. Should I also feed her through a tube? I’m not sure 🤔 if she’s been eating since we were out of town for a day and didn’t really see her for almost 48 hours since she didn’t want to come out of her little hut. It’s our first glider. What should we do?

She needs to be seen by a vet. She is probably in a lot of pain ftom the circulation been compromised.

She will need pain meds and probably be put in a e-collar so she doesn't chew on herself.

Feather is 100% correct.

Were you able to get the thread off her foot? If not, it is even more imperative to get her to a vet. Even an emergency vet in the event you cannot get her to your regular vet. That thread must come off!!

But she still need more medical attention to keep from having further trouble to that foot/leg.

Please take a few moments to register as I am moving this thread to our Health & Hygiene Forum. You will need to be registered in order to post and give updates on our little one.

Hope all went well at the vets.
