I tried looking, but I couldn't find an answer anywhere... Oh, and when do they open their eyes?

I tried looking, but I couldn't find an answer anywhere... Oh, and when do they open their eyes? I notice my joeys start to crab right about the time they open their eyes... they open their eyes when they are about 14 days out of pouch

Cause I heard one of them crabbing today...but they were just OOP on the 25, so I don't know? I thought it was a bit early.

Lol I had one that crabbed (in a baby type way) from the day he was oop. I named him Hades because of it. His name fits him. -Sigh-

ALREADY? It seems so soon! I don't believe they were OOP before the 25...but maybe Zoey just hid them well? Geez!! It's all going too fast.

Mine had their eyes open in 7 days and eight days oop. I didn't hear a distinguishable crab until 3 weeks oop. Haven't heard it again (my babies don't want to crab I guess). They are 5 1/2 wks right now.

Most joeys open their eyes at about 10 days oop. Some a bit sooner, some a bit later... depending on how long the mother held them in pouch. Jill, since your joeys' eyes are already open, I would guess that they were actually ready to be oop a few days before you got to see them As for crabbing, that depends on the personality of the joey - I've had some that still weren't crabbing at 8 weeks oop and others that started on the day they came out But generally, it's right around 2 weeks oop that they will start

About two weeks is when my little ones opened thier eyes. Luna has big HUGE eyes and Sol looks.....almost...asian! lol My little Sol started crabbing early....maybe 2 weeks OOP. Luna chatters more than crabs. They have both decided that they will purr after they have tucked themselves up under my hair on the back of my neck. Seems to be their favorite place to sleep. Hey, and they are 1 month OOP today! Soon they will be ready for thier very own cage! Phew!
