I have Lilly and Duke. Duke was neutered about 3 weeks ago. I did not put my babies together until he was healed from his surgery. Lilly's pouch used to not be noticeable at all...I mean you could not tell she had a little slit on her tummy when she was running around the cage. The last several days I have noticed that the opening of her pouch is kind of open...like she has groomed that area maybe and some of the hair is gone? I am not sure what it is but wanted to ask the experts out there! I know I am a little OCD but I would rather be safe than sorry!

I got Lilly the end of October and she was somewhere between 10-12 weeks OOP then.

My little guy Meeko likes to peek in his girls pouch. It was awkward...he looked like he was trying to put his head in there one day. Maybe he was just helping her groom but it was funny and awkward to say the least.

If her pouch does not look irritated I would not be too concerned. These gliders do some strange things some days!

Thank you Becki...I would rather bring my questions here than to be sorry some day that I ignored something that seemed like a small change in one of them. Her pouch does not look red or irritated, just different, more noticable, open.

She is probably just being a good girl and being mature and keeping it clean now. In some cases like mine...the boys seem to help or maybe adore the pouch. Silly boys.

Yep...I brought Tika to the vet when she was about that age for the same reason. The vet examined her and told me that *sniff* my little girl was becoming a woman! She was reaching puberty, maturing, and just making her pouch ready to have babies in there! Even though she lives with her mom and her neutered dad and brother! He compared it to a 12 or 13 year old girl hitting puberty - some come into it sooner than others and some hit it a little harder than others... laugh sounds like your little girl is a woman now!

My little girl Jane is doing the same thing. So the vet said the other day. Then tonight I could see her full slit.........And she is always grooming. Our vet didn't so a swab test even though we asked. I'm worried about our little girl. Probably just like you are yours. wink

If you find anything else going on, any other news, please ahead and pm. I would love to here it.
