Eh...I moved ALL the way out to the boonies in Sycamore (yes, we LOVE IT, lol)....but we can have a meet up here any time Karin I've had a sort of "impromptu" meet up at Karin's - twice now, actually. I vote for Karin's house! LOL Or better yet! Karin - since you seem to be some sort of compulsive cleaner (I swear, people: one of those homes out of House Beautiful. Spotless and not a thing out of place!) you can come to my house and make it beautiful!! Then we can meet here! (I'm always trying to find someone to clean my house. Why does no one ever take me up on it??? )

Why don't we have it at different houses each time? That way people in different areas of IL will be able to come. One month we'll have it in Northern IL, the next in Southern IL. Of course, we won't all be able to make it to each one(like me, cause I HATE driving, lol), but at least everyone will get to go to one. Also, it will take the burden off of those hosting the meeting, they won't have to do it every month.

Hewwo! I know, I became very, very depressed after I lost Nappy. I took it really hard and blamed myself. It took a lot of time before I got Derek (my new Looooove). Thanks to my mom and my Boyfriend I overcame my fears.
What you and others here did for me was the most memorable and awesome thing ever, and I seriously love you all for it very much. You all have a very special place in my heart for everything you did. I truly mean it.

It wasn't your fault-SM isn't anyone's fault. And his story has helped other gliders get help since. He'll always be around in Spirit . I know I'll never forget him. I'm so glad you have another little one...they don't replace the ones we've lost, but they do help fill the hole they leave behind and carve a place all their own. NOTE: Napoleon was one of the first SMs I helped with after Riker-he was the worst case scenario in action. A number of members owe their gliders to this little guy, whether they know it or not. Shanna did EVERYTHING right, and he was still lost-to his own teeth when he slipped his collar on the way to the vet-in a matter of minutes, without making a SOUND. I will never, ever forget sweet little Nappy. I still think about him often.

Anyone in Central IL? There is a need for a vet in Peoria, Galesburg, Macomb, Pekin. It isn't an emergency, but the glider owner wants to be able to have a vet before it becomes an emergency!

I use All Pets in Peoria, they seem to know about the small animals so feel confident in them. Burmeister, Charles A DVM - All Pets Veterinary Hospital (309) 685-1441

I'm in Central IL, around the Bloomington/Normal area. I'd love to take part in an IL gathering of some type. I love driving, and meeting new people! I vote for springfield! Its about an 1 1/2 drive for me, not so bad. Though I'd definately go to one up by Elgin/ chi town. Because I bet Alden would go to that one

I would try to make the trip if you plan a big gathering. Summer would be good, but there are other gatherings planned, so keep that in mind when planning the date.
